DR has been very late releasing the rehearsal schedules for the countries and kept silent about the exact lay out of the stage and seating arrangements inside the B&W Hallerne, but today the reason for all this has been revealed: the live orchestra returns by the request of several countries including Armenia, Austria and San Marino. Time will tell if this will be only one off event having live music in Eurovision again, or if it will return also next year when it's also the 60th edition. After all we have had 44 editions with live orchestra, and only 15 without.... Welcome back conductors! Of course the use of the orchestra is voluntary. More details here.
The Azerbaijani selection show for the represant was as long as the selection process for the five finalists. Kurt Calleja from Malta and Can Bonomo from Turkey were present with Ell/Nikki to see Sabina Babayeva to emerge as the winner after each and every finalist had done about zillion songs amongst other guests. Now the Azeri TV will shop around a suitable song for her.
