Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Belgium has been playing around with the old Eurovision songs in their casting shows and call back aka second chance round. A masked group Day One has caused some stir as they haven ' t revealed their real identity and among others Kate Ryan has been said to be the singer.... sooner or later the masks must come down and we will see..... Now we have finally the semifinalists, 12 of them. Three semifinals will follow now, each with four acts two of them making the final where there will be then six acts if my math's right. There will be televote-international jury deciding on the winner then in the final. Belgium had it's start for selecting their entrant for Copenhagen 2014 Eurovision. In this casting thing the artists had to sing an Eurovison entry (yes, another country goes for this option!) and in the end four artists got the ticket to the final, four got a ticket to a call back (or second chance) and the other may dream on.... In some weird way thee acoustic takes on these songs are quite enjoyable.... The results 01. Udo - Ne partez pans sans moi   93% 02. Nelson - Glorious 86% 03. Eva Jacobs - In your eyes 86% 04. Belgium is also giving us names today. The both leading ladies of Eurovision 2003 runner up Urban Trad are taking part; Veronica Codesal who replaced Soetkin Collier when the scandal of her links to some extremist broke out. Then we have Nelson Morais of the 2008 selection and Petra from 1993, 1999 and 2006 selections taking part again. Other names include Udo, Silvy de Bie, 2Fabiola and several names from various talent shows: Andrei, Maureen, Manuel Axeela, Yass, Eva Jacobs, White Bird and Jonas Cole . Then there's Arne Vanhaecke & The Fuckuleles , a duo Viola Furleo & Kristof van den Berg h and a couple of more names. Stay tuned for the full list and song titles.
