Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Like last year I decided again look back and see who provided the soundtrack of my year 2014, or the albums I have listened and loved the most. One album stands above everything else for some many reasons, Valentina Monett a's Sensibilitá . I was able to follow its progress and shaping up, and then follow her to Copenhagen and experience such joy and happiness along with the team I will never forget. But also because it's a great album. Very variable in material but Valentina sings her way through the styles and songs with grace and dignity and shows what a talented vocalist and songwriter she is. Ralph Siegel has provided the Eurovision material including her entry Maybe and the other initial possibilities Guardami ancora , Il fiume and the title track , but Valentina explores other styles and rhythms in her own songs Il vento , Hotel , Per te , Molto di più .. Valentina Monetta is giving a kind of home coming concert to present her latest album Sensibilità to the people of San Marino. The venue is none other than the country's main square, the famous Piazza della Libertá next to Palazzo Pubblico aka the building that houses the Sammarinese government and the city hall. Yes, the very one you see in most every image of San Marino. How cool is that?  Anyways, Valentina and her band (Simone Migani in piano, Claudio Malerba in drums and Alex Gori in bass) will perform songs from her album and surely some old favorites like Una giornata bellissima and of course, all her three Eurovision entries. Yours truly will be present and will bring you exclusive photos and stuff in due time. The concert starts at 21.30 on August 5, 2014. The concert is part of Estateincentro , a series of events taking place in the historic center of San Marino city in summer nights. 

Valentina Monetta is releasing her third album titled Sensibilità next week digitally. The physical album release is due in early May.  Fifteen new songs including her Eurovision 2014 entry Maybe (Forse) that comes also in Italian and radio versions, title track Sensibilitá (also in English and hip hop version) and already released duet A kiss with Joshua de Cadenex featuring also Corale San Marino choir. Other guests include her brother Vincenzo Monetta, Banda Militare della Repubbica di San Marino, Of Course Big Band, Mirco Moroncelli and Sarah Jane Ghiotti, a very possible future represant in the Eurovision.
