Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Remember Switzerland who chose it's six finalists in various selections already ages ago? Well, it feels like ages ago but the final's going to be tonight. Six artists and songs are left and all six are going to perform also another song, a cover. What's the purpose of that at this stage if not only to fill in some spare time? I don't know but maybe Swiss television thinks it's a good idea....  Anyways, below are the artists with their songs (and their covers). Oh, and Kaceo present a cleaned up version of their entry without various chiens, putans, culs, nichons, pipes and fucks just to mention a few... But my vote goes to Vincent. Stanley. Rykka. In that order.  Vincent Gross - Half a smile ( Astronaut - Sido feat. Andreas Bourani) Bella C - Another world ( Empire state of mind (Part II) - Alicia Keys) Kaceo - Disque d'or ( Video killed the radiostar - The Buggles) Theo - Because of you ( Photograph - Ed Sheeran) Rykka - ...

The Swiss Expertencheck took hours and hours and hours ..... and finally we have the six who made the cut. My favourites Vincent and Stanley made it, as did Rykka so I can't complain. Bella C  Another world Rykka - The last of our kind Stanley Miller - Feel the love Stephanie Palazzo - Perche mi guardi cosi Theo - Because of you Vincent Gross - Half a smile

The three Swiss broadcasters have all come up with their entrie for the Expert Check to be held on Sunday December 6. The six best ones according the expert jury will go on to the natonal final on February 13, 2016 and the winner gets the ticket to Stockholm and Eurovision song contest 2016. Among the 19 we find two Spanish artists; Maika Barbero from La Voz and American dancer Stanley Miller aka Chipper who has been doing career in Spain even in Operacion Triunfo. Rykka is Canadian-Swiss, and Nathalie is Swiss-Brazilian. Evelyn Zangger has participated in the Swiss Popstars, while Stephanie Sandoz has collaborated with very big French names from Florent Pagny to Zazie. Patric Scott and Loic Shumacher are already familiar names from Swiss selections, as is Elias Bertini. If I were to choose I would pick up these , with option for these .  SRF or German speaking television Erica Arnold - Ich bin ich Vincent Gross - Half a smile   ** Samuel Tobias Klauser - Aski...

Switzerland has one of the most insane selection formats there is. SRF has the open internet submission that closes tomorrow, and you can find pretty much everything in there. Old Swiss Eurovision participants like Barbara Berta or other veterans like Slovenian  Omar Naber , national Swiss finalists like Gisel de Marco or Swedish like Velvet , or names like Ylva & Linda , who are everywhere, have submitted a song. Along with some illusional people who actually seem to think they have a voice and can sing or write a song.
