Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Quite incredible, the only song I tipped for victory did win for once, lol. Voltaj with  De la capăt won both televote and the jury vote. Apparently and sadly they will sing the song in Vienna in English as All over again . Luminita Anghel came second and seemed very unamused. During the show I also picked CEJ as my second favorite and the only other song I liked, well performed no fuss song. Here's the live performance . The song also has an important theme: to bring all those Romanians working abroad to come back to their children in Romania they left behind....

Romanian television has announced today the finalists in  Selecţiei Naţionale Eurovision 2015. The Romanian final will take place on March 8. Romania was doing great for many years and brought to Eurovision some great songs. Tonight they will select this year's entry. The final songs were selected in two semifinals and only 12 songs are left from the original 148. Is there another top-3 song for Malmö 2013? I don't think so.... Unless falsetto singing will be the thing for 2013 :-) Luminita seems to be the favorite but this blogger rather remembers her with her previous entry than this pretendous musical number. Listening through the entries I have great difficulty to find a favorite. Is it me or the songs? There are some that with some work could be on to something but at the moment ruined by bad English, being rather amateurish and such things. If I have to pick up one that could be worked out then it'd be What is love , the old fashioned Italodisco number. The first semifinal in Romania has also concluded and we have the result. Previous Eurovision glories had a different fate: natalia Barbu is out while Luminita Anghel proceed to the final. Like Hungary and Israel, Romania also having its semifinals over this weekend. Romania has two (Saturday and Sunday) and 50-50 televote-jury will send six songs to the final on March 9, 2013. Two very familiar nams in this one; Natalia Barbu who represented Moldova in Helsinki 2007 and Luminita Anghel, Romanian entrant 2005 when she scored third place with fantastic Let me try .We have the obligatory song in Italian in the line up plus some falsetto singing à la David D'Or... TVR has announced the finalist in Selectia Nationala 2010 and amongst the names we have several familiar names even if some songs still miss the artist. Paula Seling tries once again, this time with two different duets, one of them with Ovi who participated in the Norwegian final last year. Catalin Josan is back, too, as is Zero. Blaxy Girls are unfortunately missing from the list but the most fuss have been around the entry by Luminita Anghel & co.
