Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

The third act for Euroviison song contest 2022 in Turin is out. And it's not a surprise at all as band's name was leaked already weeks ago but today it is confirmed: Intelligent Music project will represent Bulgaria but there's a surprise. Ronnie Romero, lead vocalist of Rainbow will join the combo for Eurovision! The other members are X Factor Bulgaria winner Slavin Slavchev, Stoyan Yankoulov, already an Eurovision veteran having done it twice already with Elitsa: Helsinki 2007 and Malmö 2013. Add Bisser Ivanov, Ivo Stefanov and Dimiter Sirakov. Their entry is titled Intention . It will be revealed next month. Inspired by Måneskin it starts to look indeed rock'n roll is finally making it big in Eurovision. It seems Emma has a mission on her recently started Adesso Tour. Recently she has often stood up for gay rights in her concerts and in television. She was proudly waving the rainbow flag in her concert declaring "as far as I can remember not even almighty God has judged gay people. They are not taking anything away from others. All they do is give love to others".  Meanwhile the audience has colored the venue in rainbow colors with their support. She has also asked her fans to send photos from her concerts to her and most likely some initiative will be created from all that.... And she continued the speech in a popular tv talk show "it's time to wake up, it's 2016. Everybody must have the same rights. Love is equal in every form, there is not any kind of love that is better than some other kind. 

Remember earlier this year when the Sanremo festival turned all rainbow in silent support for the equal rights? Many, most I would say, artists had the rainbow colored ribbons in their microphone, or shoes, or wherever, no words needed. Now those ribbons make appearance on Eurovision stage with Francesca Michielin again. 

Not everyone is welcomed in Eurovision song contest..... Or at least don't bring your flag if you are coming from one of these: Kosovo, Nagorno-Karabach, Basque, Islamic State, Crimea, Palestine, People's Republic of Donetsk, Northern Cyprus, Transnistria. As approved by the ESC Reference Group in April 2016.  You can and are welcome to bring your official national flag if you are from any of the participating countries, or countries that have recently taken pasrt like Turkey, Portugal and Romania.  Rainbow and EU flags are being tolerated, if they are not used intentionally to make any politcial staement during the show.  Read more here , to check out also allowed sizes fo flags. Follow up: It didn't take long to Basque and Kosovo among others to react to this list. In Spain that matter ended up in the parliament and EBU had to release a statement soon after. As it turns out, the published document was a draft of the EBU’s policy that wasn’t yet read...

So far there has been only televote in #UMK16 but now, in the final, 50% of the votes come from ten special civil juries, made of different groups of people. The ten groups are: Viisuasiantuntijat (Eurovision fans) Muusikot (Musicians) Media (People working in media) Tubettejat (YouTubers) Suomenruotsalaiset (Swedish Finns) Sateenkaari (Rainbow people) Eduskunta (Parliament) Asfalttimiehet (Men who lay asphalt on the road) Lapset (Kids) Somettajat (Social media users)
