Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Yet another failure for the UK in Eurovision hasn't been unnoticed by several big names. Simon Cowel l, the music tycoon says he would love to knock the “nul points” habit on the head by choosing the UK song for Europe. Simon says: “One hundred per cent I’d love to take the reins for Eurovision. I have thought about it. The idea of taking it on for one year and trying to get someone to represent the UK, someone new – I’d love that. I don’t think there’d be too much to lose. I think it’d be great fun.” Great fun? Well, what is he waiting for? Some others are not thinking it as great fun though, like Pop Idol‘s first ever winner Will Young who was asked if he would represent the UK at Eurovision. He didn’t mince his words. “No, I don’t think so because it’s going to be a bit of a poisoned chalice. I don’t want to do it. There are always Eurovision wannabes in search of some self promotion in the low season and this summer 1980's discogirl Sinitta has thought it's as good a way to promote her apparent return to music scene since nearly 20 years shouting "I want to do it!"  We can mix it with her early career that does include a participation in the UK selection of 1984 with Imagination (4th), and her ex Simon Cowell who has declared he could fix it for the UK. And Sinitta was his very first hit artist! Could they join forces again and recreate the magic for the good cause? Sinitta made it big in mid 1980's with hits like So macho , Toy boy and Cross my broken heart . Now she's about to make a come back in London pride with a cover of her mother Miquel Brown's hit So many men, so little time . (Another well known singer Amii Stewart is her aunt) In the 1990's and 2000's she's been more known for her personal life and reality tv, affair with Simon Cowell ...

As we all know Barak Obama has been searching for his Irish roots in Europe the past few days amongst other important things and to celebrate that the Irish decided to show him the best they've got at the moment: the Jedward! The hyperactive twins did their Lipstick and chatted with Michelle and Barak afterwords about Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber of all things. They also declared it's an honour to perform for the most famous man in the world, after Simon Cowell that is! Obama had complimented with their hair and they told Michelle Obama they saw her on loads of magazines like O Magazine and she looked really cool! And she said "ahh thanks ". Here's their performance to the president.  Wonder if Obamas had time to watch Eurovision?
