EUROVISION 2025 REVIEWS: CZECHIA, GREECE, MONTENEGRO AND FRANCE

It's time to kick of the usual reviews. The opinions are all mine and if I don't like some song it's simply just not my cup of tea so to speak. If I like something you dislike or hate, it's fine, too. No stresso, no need to be depresso it's just music and tastes that re diverse and therefor beautiful! I also try to predict their success come May a little bit but as we know once the staging is out everything may change, remember Fuego and Rise like a phoenix for example? For this series I have grouped the songs in fours as usual as the songs may have similarities or something in common. Some fours came out beautifully, the others.... well not so well. Here comes the fifth part! CZECHIA - ADONXS - Kiss kiss goodbye He premiered the song as acoustic version in Malta of all places and the fandom melted and screamed winner. Indeed it was a stunning debut and might give Czechs their best finish come May. When the final version was released with its dance break it was qui...

EUROVISION 2025 MONTENEGRO: NINA ZIZIC REPLACES NEONOEN AND GOES TO EUROVISION 2025

No surprise here, runner up Nina Žižić, Eurovision veteran from 2013, replaces Neonoen who withdraw ( read more here ) a few days after their Montesong win. Nna was the jury winnner before Neonoen, but placed only 4th in televote, thus finishing second, with her Dobrodošli.

SUMMER EUROBOYS: WHO SEE - NEMAN TI KAD

Who See featuring Nina Zizic brought Igranka to Eurovision last year but despite being a favorite by many (including this blogger) and outstanding live performance failed to make the final. Now the boys have travelled all the way to Bangkok where they shot the video for Neman ti kad (When I have nothing) among the political demostrations. The video features Montenegrin model Nicola Masonicicu trying all sort of things "when he has nothing" to make the living from a Roman Gladiator to escort.... The song itself is a sort of reggae rap that doesn't really go anywhere but you don't quite notice as you are watching the video.... and it's just fine for a lazy summer day on the beach, isn't it?

WHO SEE & NINA SAY HI TO BLOGILKAR READERS!

ESC 2013 RED CARPET: MACEDONIA, ARMENIA, BELGIUM, LITHUANIA, ISRAEL, NL, MONTENEGRO

ESC 2013 MALMÖ - DAY 5: MONTENEGRO, LITHUANIA, BELARUS, MOLDOVA

Next lot of song.... MONTENEGRO - Who see fr Nina Zizic - Igranka The two astronauts that are Who see emerge from the dry ice, and cyber girl Nina jumps in literally when the chorus kicks in. Weird but wonderful and visually stunning, as I wrote before, something we haven't seen in Eurovision yet, and we have seen a lot! Very powerful. mainly green and yellow ccolors on stage. Nina is fantastic. The whole concept of the first party on Mars is fabulously different and will go either way. I hope it goes to the final and kicks some butts there, too! LITHUANIA - Andrius Pojavis - Something With Lithuania we are back to performances without any deeper ideas. Blue and purple basic stage, basic performance by worn out looking Andrius and it all comes across a bit tired. Shame, because the song would deserve better, it's not bad.  BELARUS - Alyona Lanskaya - Solayoh The stage is set on multicolor mode again when Belarus takes on. Using every gimmick found on Eurovi...

WHO SEE THE ASTRONAUTS?

It's not easy to find something someone hasn't already done in Eurovision but Montenegro  comes with a surprise! many have wondered how the song will be staged after seeing the video but they have gone all spacy. Astronauts on stage, special effects all ove the place and ... what can I say? I think I'm gonna like this even more than I already did! Here .  Montenegro is bringing strange songs and acts to Eurovision without realistic hopes to do well but this time they may have got one with wider appeal....  Anyways, this was a joint winner in YLE Fem's preview shows panel!

THIS IS ESC 2013: SERBIA, LATVIA, MONTENEGRO

Latvia - PeR - Here we go These guys should sent some flowers to SVT as the opening act is clearly the best slot they could ever be. A perfect opener that will get the audience wild while waiting for their favorites, I think this would result a bit annoying placed anywhere else. And otherwise it works better as a video than straight live performance. A tricky one this is. It has some nice things, but it sounds a bit too familiar and rapping has never worked in Eurovision so far. Unfortunately this isn't my cup of tea but Latvia has done well, even won, when I haven't liked them at all, so.... But, a non qualifier for me but this said, I wouldn't be so surprised if it qualified after all.... but I doubt it! Serbia -Moje 3 - Ljubav je svuda I must admit being a big fan of Serbian Eurovision but it took me awhile to warm up to this. Maybe I was (like many others it seems now) too stuck on the Serbian ballad formula? Anyways, this is one of the songs that has been pla...

WHO SEES MONTENEGRO QUALIFYING?

I guess it's hard again. Who see ft Nina Zizic presented their song Igranka tonight and I'm a bit buzzled. It's nice it's different, mind you I even liked their entry last year by Rambo Amadeus that was a much more demanding than this one. Certainly stands out in the first semifinal and who knows...
