ESC 2017: WAS RUSLANA LADY GAGA'S REPLACEMENT ONLY?

Now this is just a rumor that got out now nd most likely untrue, but it's a fun one. Last year Stockholm got Justin Timberlake to perform for free apparently in exchange of the television audience of 200 miliion at the Eurovision song contest final. The purists didn't like it, and indeed what does he have to do with Eurovision, especially as he didn't even know what it was prior taking the stage really? Like as if Sweden didn't have world stars of their own to show..... But that aside, this year it could maybe have been Lady Gaga. To claim that is Jamala's manager Igor Tarnapolsky who gossips he heard it from Eurovision 2017 producer Stuart Barlow himself...  Anyways, it fall down to Lady Gaga's "free" performance as she demanded a rider of 100.000-200.000 dollars to make her spectacular performance. One can only wonder what she would have given us with that money....  certainly she would have fitted Eurovision a bit better than Mr Timberlake ...

EUROVISION 2017: STUART AND OLEH WILL CREATE THE FUSION OF UKRAINIAN AND INTERNATIONAL

The Eurovision song contest 2017 is slowly shaping up and later this month we should get the slogan and the visual design for this year. The stage design will be then revealed in February. As posted before it will be done once again by German Florian Wieder . The executive producer Vicotira Romanova says: "For the Eurovision 2017, we are preparing a unique, modern world-class, Ukrainian show. To this end, we have built a team of national and international professionals, who have a long-standing experience in the production of TV-shows. The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will fuse Ukrainian and international experience." The show producers this year are Stuart Barlow and Oleh Bodnarschuk. Stuart is no stranger to Eurovision, he's been around since 2011every year, except last year in Stockholm. As the Show Producer of Eurovision 2017 he is responsible for the coordination of all creative aspects of show production and content from early planning stages to the live ...

ESC 2016: LOGOtv VIEWERS IN THE USA WON'T SEE JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

We in Europe (and China and Australia among other countries) will see the interval act in the Eurovision song contest or American superstar Justin Timberlake singing it away in two of his songs. But the viewers of LOGOtv in the USA won't due to lack of these rights in the agreement. LOGOtv has potential 50 million viewers in the USA. His native fans will miss the world premiere of his new comeback single Can't stop the feeling.  Justin himself says he's very excited about Eurovision: It is going to be fun. It's kind ... crazy huh? It's a crazy, crazy race.  So, I look forward to see how big it is.

ESC 2016: MÅNS ZELMERLÖW - FIRE IN THE RAIN

We could have had this in the show tomorrow. Instead we have some random American Justin Timberlake..... Sigh.... He won't be as funny, nude and available as Måns....

ESC 2016: THE FINAL RUNNING ORDER HAS BEEN REVEALED, FROM BELGIUM TO ARMENIA

This year's Eurovision song contest final running order has been revealed. Belgium ended the second semifinal and goes on to open the final. Armenia's visually stunning entry will close the show with a bang. Czech Republic's ballad got the feared number two slot. In general this is the strongest final line up since forever..... and then there's Justin Timberlake. I'm glad Europe will show him a trick or two what comes to staging and having great musical ideas :-)  1. Belgium 2. Czech Republic 3. The Netherlands 4. Azerbaijan 5. Hungary 6. Italy 7. Israel 8. Bulgaria 9. Sweden 10. Germany 11. France 12. Poland 13. Australia 14. Cyprus 15. Serbia 16. Lithuania 17. Croatia 18. Russia 19. Spain  20. Latvia 21. Ukraine 22. Malta 23. Georgia 24. Austria 25. United Kingdom 26. Armenia

ESC 2016: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE THE FINAL'S INTERVAL ACT

First reaction: WTF? Didn't they find anyone from Sweden or even Europe for the job? Anything for the ratings, isn't it? This blogger wasn't even very happy for the Cirque de Soleil in Moscow 2009 and thought it was just a Russian thing to do: Money can buy. I have always wanted the Eurovision shows to be a mirror of the hosting country, but it seems the tiny bit of nationality showing is hidden away in the semifinals already for years, so...... Well, there is a Swedish connection: his song he's world premiering has Swedish songwriters. Adele for example is European and not needing Swedish songriters, does she? I can't stop the feeling the Swedish selfpomotion for their music is getting a bit too loud for my liking. We all knwo it, there's no need to slap that in our faces all the time. Music goes in periods. There was Motown, there was PWL, now it's been awhile the Swepop. Something else will come around and dominate the charts sometime soon so enjoy t...

ESC 2015: MEET NADAV GUEDJ / נדב גדג' (ISRAEL)

Israeli Justin Timberlake. So he is called. He is the third youngest artist this year, and one of the most inexprienced as he just came to the spotlight a few months ago when participating (and winning) a talent show in his homecountry Nadav turned 16 only last November. But he and his team has managed to create him a full package: a catchy song Golden boy , and an image to match, even with a slogan from the song that went viral after the song was released: Before I leave, let me show you Tel Aviv . For the first time Israel also drops any Hebrew parts in the song and goes full English version. The song itself is a real cocktail of old and new, Mediterranean and global styles in three minutes but strangely it all works!
