Last in the betting odds all spring no one expected anything from them - as usual - but here they are again: talk of the town. Jessika and Jenifer, joined by two female dancers (and Basti hidden somewhere for vocals) got their four robots and created a fun performance including robotic marriage proposal that seems to have gotten mostly positive comments and press center in applause.   San Marino - Jessika feat. Jenifer Brening - Who we are Jessika Muscat (29) has the faith of fellow Maltese Christabelle: several national final attemps and now she gets finally to Eurovision with the worst of them. Or almost. She is joined by German Jenifer Brening (21) who took the original rapper Irol's place when he turned down the song stating it's not his cup of tea. He would have given this at least some Sammarinese touch. Anyways, the innotative Sammarinese national final selection promised a lot but in the end gave us this. I would have chosen differently but what we have is a rather anonymous and heard before anthem against bullying, well sung by Jessika with Jenifer's rap as bonus. Sadly unforgettable and the only thing that might get attention and viewers to remember this are the robots. If they travel to Lisbon, too. San Marino's first national final has been won by Maltese Jessika Muscat featuring Jenifer Brening and their collaboration Who we are. Ironically Sammarinese irol dropped out of this song as he considered it too pop to his hip hop/rap genre.... Sorry now? Jessika is a veteran in the Maltese final but has never won at home I must say I never paid any attention to this song. And that's all I have to say about it right now.... Sara De Blue apparently came second, Jenifer Brening 3rd, Giovanni Montalbano 4th and Camilla North and Franklin Calleja joint 5th...

  San Marino has published the final versions of the songs competing to represent the tiny nation in the Eurovision song contest 2018 in Lisbon. Recorded in studio and produced instead of the live acoustic ones we have heard so far. Meanwhile the voting procedure seems to change every other day so I'm not even going to keep up anymore. The rules might be changed before I have time to post this anyways, so let's see what's the deal next week. If it even matters in the end. And Irol dropped out of Who we are it being too pop and not fitting into his hip hop genre.   San Marino aired tonight the second show recorded in Bratislava, where the artists sung the chosen songs. Some of them were already featured in the first show sung by another artist, and even tonight both Basti and Franklin sung the same song, and not only them btw. And Emma manages to include "rakas" in her song again .-) Now the judges have a task of picking one song for each artist for the final and make studio produced versions of the songs after these live acoustic ones.
