The missed Hungarian entry 2020

  The expectations were high for Tom Leeb and France after declarations by the French television that the song "will make you forget all the others in the final" and that the song moved everyone and they chose the song first, then matched it with a perfect voice, Tom Leeb, a relatively unknown as a singer so far. Then today it was revealed the song is titled The Best in me , written by the usual Swedish ones Thomas G:son, Peters Boström and John Lundvik (it does sound like his song really) with the lyrics written by John Lundvik with Amir, Tom Leeb and Léa Ivanna, apparently for the few French lines. The fandom melted. France became the talk of the bubble. For the negative. And no wonder. Also this blogger can't quite comprehend why such a great musical nation as France couldn't find a song written, produced by the French? And how come even they turn to the desperate move singing in English? Thank heavens we still have Italy and Spain with some pride left....

Amir has announced he will retire from the public eye shortly for awhile to relax, spend time with his family and of course to write new songs. He has been on the road, releasing music and gaining success and winning awards non stop since his Eurovision 2016 success. Recently he won again La chanson de l'année aka Song of the year 2019 award for his Longtemps .  But before vanishing he has released a bilingual   בואי נלך with Israeli Moshe Peretz.... HoloMe collaborates with singer and songwriter, Amir and his record label Warner Music France, to produce a never-seen-before augmented reality (AR) music video. Using an app exclusively developed by HoloMe for Warner Music France, Amir’s latest music video 5 minutes avec toi  has been released in AR using HoloMe’s AR technology. Amir serenades his fans in the revolutionary music video in the form of a hologram. This is the first-ever human hologram music video to be released by an artist; taking artist interaction with fans to a whole new level. Users are able to record themselves dueting and dancing with Amir by their sides as he performs the song. HoloMe has developed an app which is available for download on Android and iOS devices with AR compatibility, in order for Amir’s fans all over the world to gain access to the unique AR music video. Who is Mercy? Read her story here What is the best way to overcome jetlag but watch some Eurovision? The French final took place last night and took quite a long time but was rather entertaining show anyways as far as I can recall while dozing off a few times ;-p  Each of the finalists performed twice, first with a guest star and then their entry. In the end the international jurors gave out their points before the televoters votes were added, and the voting did keeep up the drama til the end. The international jurors votes went all over the place but in the end Madame Monsieur scored big with the televoters and jumped from the juries 3rd place to a win. Worth noting is Eurovision General Christer Björkman gave them only 2 points underlining what I was thinking myself: Mercy is a lovely atmospheric song, very chich and elegant, very French and I do like it a lot but.... will European televoters get it or will it be lost in the crowd? My guess is it will do a lot poore...

  After two succesful years with Amir and Alma France seems to have found their lost Eurovision identity again, and this year's choice for a national final could have gone so wrong after those two internally selected and hand picked by the new Head of Delegation Edoardo Grassi, mais non! This is propably one of the strongest national final selections this year. This blogger would be ready to send to Lisbon 7-9 of these based on the snippets alone ( click the titles below ), and I would kick out only three of them at this point. Of course, we haven't yet heard the whole songs nor seen the staging and the artists ability to sing live and look good on telly while doing it but.....  At this point my top contenders are Masoe and Nassi, both delivering a song that sounds what French hit music is right now in my ears.  Well done, France! Maybe Marie Myriam, guest of honor in Destination Eurovision will finally see someone take off her crown as the reigning French Eur...
