ESC 2016 WISH LIST: MALÚ FOR SPAIN

Malú's name is not new when talking about Eurovision. She's on many wishlists and has been rumored a few times. However, so far nothing. Now she's about to release a new album this November, her 10th studio album since 1998. She has also released a live album and a couple of compilations, all of them have sold at least gold, several multiple platinum. The first of offering from the new album is Quiero . Timing is perfect, could it be? This blogger would certainly approve! Here's the title track .

ESC 2014: IF THE SPANISH FANS WOULD HAVE THEIR SAY....

... it would be Roko flying the Spanish flag in Copenhagen 2014. She's a singer, composer, guitarist and musica theater artist who has been also present in some variety shows, including Tu cara me suena and El numero uno . Here's her take on Nancy Sinatra , Shakira and Adele . And yes, she did even Loreen . No wonder she won that imitation show!  Ruth Lorenzo is the second choice by the Spanish fans, of X Factor UK fame. She got 2693 votes against Roko's 2900. Ever present Pablo Alboran (2595), Malú (2510) and Monica Naranjo (2450) complete the Top-5 of the wish list. Monica Naranjo was the fan's choice in 2010, Chenoa in 2011 and 2012 and Malú in 2013, but none of them got internally selected by the Spanish broadcaster, will 2014 chance the trend?  Check out the full list here .

Tonight: Final in Spain

We already know the singer and we also know the songs but tonight we will find out which one she will take to Baku 2012 with her. Pastora Soler was internally selected (muchissimas gracias TVE for not putting us through endless cating shows and mix and match song disasters this year!). Three songs and a televote. And on top of that Pastora will sing with Sergio Dalma, Malú and David Bustamante. Sounds like a perfect evening to me! I like all three songs and don't really have a favourite .... UK with Adele wins OGAE Song Contest 2011

UK took its third win in a row in this year's OGAE Song contest when Adele scored high most everywhere with Someone like you . Italy's run of runner up places continues here when Modà's La notte scores second place before Spain's Malu and Blanco y negro . France, Andorra, Finland and Germany secure the western European leadership on the scoreboard. I'm very pleased with Kaija Koo's good solid 6th place with Vapaa . Re sults: 1. Someone like you - Adele (United Kingdom) 189 2. La notte - Modà (Italy) 146 3. Blanco y negro - Malù (Spain) 127 4. Je veux - Zaz (France) 117 5. Males experiences - Rocio Rivas (Andorra) 107 6. Spain - the karaoke continues.....

Daniel Motiño Camúñez reports   Spain will keep on seeking artist tomorrow in the show Destino Eurovisión Gala 2. The first gala was a total success with more than 2 million viewers and less than 3 hours duration (this is a real success). It was the most viewed show of the night, beating the yellow press shows. This makes me believe that tomorrow it is going to be again the same. Looking at this views, it is more clear that the TVE is not looking for an artist to bring the 3rd victory back to Spain after 42 years, a record of no-wins that only Portugal has beated , but for a show to ensure the audience on Friday nights. I am also curious to see if Auryn will survive the following rounds after the announcement of BBC about Blue representing United Kingdom. Anyway, let's focus and see what is expected tomorrow. On a personal note my three best favorites have promising performances. Alazán will perform Bandido , this can put them straight to the final since they are ...
