Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Here again some new videos. UMK 2013 finalist Last Panda has released a new song and video, featuring... errr, panda! The girl's gone wild . It follows nicely the genre we already know and the intro feature their UMK entry.... Another link to UMK 2013 comes in POPUP 's video Ikuisuus , that features Mikael Saari . And not only, in the intro they joke that this cetain mentioned person "would be now in Malmö if he only kept his jumper".... Nice touch! This a cappella group features also beatboxer Felix Zenger . Spanish Eurovision veteram David Civera has released a new one, too. Me ha robado el corazon is a nice mix of summer dance music. Another Eurovision veteran, Blue , is back with a new song Without you . Will they manage to breathe some life into their career? Curiously the guys never feature together in this video but only separately. A nice song anyways.

This week's weekly videos start with an older one, Luka Nizetic 's Jugo that shows that once lusty Luka still has it and yes, I still want to see him in Eurovision, too. Fun track full of the spring that you don't see outside your window as you should.... (When will the spring come this year??!!... and why is he shouting in Italian: Io voglio una donna ?!) Ever wonderful Eva & Manu join beatboxer Felix Zenger in Zero 7 cover Home . Wonderful things one can do with a talented mouth! Eros Ramazzotti has a second released off his new album called Questa nostra stagione . A classic Ramazzotti song and views of Rio... Gracias is a Finnish rapper who did this tribute to Helsinki already some years ago, but it's still good, HKI . And nice homely views of Helsinki all through....

The Rasmus, Anna Abreu, Robin and Paradise Oskar with Felix Zenger will be the guest stars. The process until now has ben long and confusing but it all comes together tonight. Maybe. There will we televote and superfinal with top-3 with a new televote. Judges have no say whatsoever anymore. 21.00 Here we go! The show about to start in a very snowy Helsinki! We start with a short clip of how we got this far. Anyone was able to participate and 540 demos were sent in. Then the process is recapped in short as no one understood a thing about it before... and now we enter the Helsinki Ice hall where dancers are on stage amonhst dry ice. We already saw the stage last night but now it comes alive with the lights and the audience. 21.07 This is more like classic dancing than disco dancing it seems. And the three ladies...

The Rasmus will make a comeback in the final of UMK aka Uuden musiikin kilpailu aka ex-Euroviisut. They will perform as world premiere their new single I'm a mess off their new album. It will be their 8th studio album and first in 4 years (the solist Lauri did a solo album in between). The band broke it big in Finland in 2001 with F-f-f-falling and two years later all over the world with In the shadows . Their latest effort was Black roses album co-produced with Desmond Child including Living in a world without you . The other performers in the final are Anna Abreu , Paradise Oskar , Felix Zenger and dancers Minna Tervamäki, Eun-Ji Ha and Linda Haakana. And of course the six UMK finalists!

And here are some more favourites of mine: Sunrise Avenue - Hollywood hills Mikko Pohjola - Se joka pelkää Felix Zenger ft. Kari Tapio & Asa - Pitkät päivät täällä Manboy - How it hurts Sunrise Avenue needs no presentation, once again they are responsable for the biggest Finnish hit worldwide. Mikko Pohjola is a newcomer to the scene and is slowly making himself known. Felix Zenger is a beatboxer and the sound syou hear are coming from his mouth, except the bits sung by late Kari Tapio. This is his last recorded performance and caused a delay in the release of the album due respect. Feliz also performed in the opening act of Eurovision 2007 in Helsinki. Manboy has been around since late 1990's and recently admitted regretting the choice of the band name.
