Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Finally! Krista Siegfrids got married to her Janne Grönroos this Saturday in her hometown Kaskinen. The couple met when both were studying to become teachers in Vaasa, and eventually moved to Helsinki when Krista's singing career took off and Janne landed a job in radio. Today he's working in Stockholm for Aftonbadet tv, and Krista works in both countries. The couple has been together already 13 years, and Krista wrote Marry me for UMK and Eurovision 2013 jokingly to get Janne to propose. He finally did it in Maldives a year later on holidays and due to their busy schedules it took this long to have the wedding. Congratulations, Krista and Janne!

Whole of Finland and most of Europe has been following the marrying problems of Krista Siegfrids. She composed the song Marry me for her boyfriend Janne Grönroos, a radio speaker who took his time to propose her. At some point he said he would if Krista wins UMK and she did. Then pressure was on him to actually make it, and there's been no interview with Krista ever since that she hasn't been asked about it... The guy totally managed to surprise Krista and everybody else during Easter when a trip to spend some time with her family in Kaskinen in peace and relax turned into a wedding and surprise party! The event took place this Sunday. So far we have found out via our sources Eurovision veterans Katri Helena and Pernilla attended the ceremony and entertained the guests in the reception along with Mikael Saari and Diandra Flores who sung a duet in the church. Krista Siegfrids returned to her hometown Kaskinen today Tuesday and got a royal welcome. She received the key to the town, the school kids sung for her, Team Ding Dong cakes and More is more biscuits were available. Tomorrow she will film her postcard with SVT for Eurovision 2013 in Malmö. "This is awessome" she told "so many people came to meet me. I lived in Kaskinen for 18 years and this will always be my hometown. It's the smallest town in Finland and I think also the prettiest! And this is my party!
