Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Hungary will choose another four finalists tonight, three by the jury and onemore from the reaming ones by the televoters. This second one is much better than last night's first one. Or at least more interesting. My top favorite is Adam, followed closely by Kallay Saunders and Benji. Hungary was supposed to have its last elimination heat tonight but instead - after postboning the last week's heat due to the tragic bus accident - this 3rd now is the 2nd one, and the acts of the 2nd one will be having their heat next week, and the semifinals will be both next weekend, Friday & Saturday. Once again the jury will send their top-5 to the semifinals, and then televoters can save an additional entry from the drop outs. Among the participants tonight András Kállay Saunders, who's holding the best Hungarian result (5th in 2014) in the modern times (Friderika Bayer was 4th in 1994. Different times, different contest). Some other familiar names tonight: Adám Szabó is once again very strong, Andi Tóth is not joking either and Zoltan delivers again.   Hungary has revealed their participants for the annual A Dal contest, aka their selection for the Eurovision song contest. The shows start on January 14 and as usual there will be three heats, then two semifinals and then the grand final. Countless familiar names from the previous A Dals taking part again. among them Eurovision veteran András Kállay Saunders who has declared he will try until he wins Eurovision. Do we complain? No. Olág Gergö is behind Roma Soul, another familiar name to watch out. And Gabi Toth as there, too, as Totova.... Hungary's A Dal has been through three heats and two semifinals and we finally have the final and by the end of it the Hungarian Eurovision 2015 entry for neighbouring Vienna. Simple? As usual, I know I repeat myself, the line up is very good. For me A Dal has been for years now one of the strongest national finals around and this year is no exception. Below the acts and their points in the semifinals. Six qualified thanks to jury while Spoon and Bálint qualified thanks to the televoters. Boggie and Adam start from the pole position. I'm not sure about Boggie 's live performances even if the song is sweet and important. she has also always qualified thanks to jurors so will televoters like her, too? I like Ádám 's song and his intense performance. Kati hasn't completely convinced me yet but it's good and will be easier to master when in English . Hungarian A Dal's second semi finished moments ago and we have six more qualifiers for the semifinals. As usual five were saved by the jury and televote, and one more from the remaining ones by televote only.
