Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

In our exclusive interviews in Malmö 2013 Eurovision we asked the artists who would they like to represent their country next year in Denmark 2014. Israel's Moran Mazor named her runner up this year, Ron Weinreich . For some reason this Eurovision adventure went under his name even if his band Siren was on stage in full as well. Indeed, Ron and Siren could be an interesting choice. This blogger liked a lot of their effort this year, Love is one . Excellent vocals and song that made completely forget the fact he's in wheelchair, after being injured in the second Lebanese war. The song was especially written for Kdam and Eurovision, adding a lot of middle eastern influences to their usual rock sound and indeed it worked. The expert jury put them to the first place, but the televote turned the tables to Moran in the end. They have released this year an EP Democrazy that includes even a cover of Rihanna 's Only girl in the world .... But there's also The real lif...

The Barbara Dex award, or the award for the worse dressed went to Serbian trio of dancing cupcakes Moje 3. Their win was very convincing - over one third of the 2747 votes went to their direction. At the same time the trio announced they have split up. These two events are not related, it seems... :-) The runner up was Cezar from Romania followed by Moran Mazor from Israel. Read more here . Last night the Israeli party took place in Glasklart and many stars made an appearance from the hostess herself, Moran Mazor from Israel to Marco Mengoni from Italy, PeR from Latvia, Dorians from Armenia, Gianluca from Malta, Robin from Sweden... Israel's entry Rak bishvilo by Moran Mazor has got a video finally. Some stunning view from the desert and mountains in retro coloring and Moran in various evening dresses. However the main point is a hunky guy in skimpy swimwear. Or should I say he is used as half naked ladies have been used in videos since forever? Is he the guys she is daydreaming and the things she would do "only to him"? Here . 

Israel- Moran Mazor - Rak bishvilo I have a problem with Israel. being a fan of Israeli ballads this should have all it takes. She's fine, the song's beautiful but the intensivity of the song kind of falls apart about half way of the song, and towards the end it turns into a mess. But I hope they can sort that out before Malmö 2013 and also find her a bit more flattering dress. I want to like this, but quite can't that much as it deserves as yet.... I'm not very confident about Israel making it to the final this time. Spain - ESDM - Contigo hasta el final (With you until the end) El sueño de morfeo quite cleverly changed their name to ESDM for Eurovision so if they fail no one will remember it was them in a year or two.... This is a bit like the Israeli entry; I should like it but I don't quite do that much. It promises a lot but quite never delivers I'm afraid. Shame. Namely the number of artists taking part. A new record! One more and the event would beat the real Eurovision final in number of performing acts. We have to also count in the special guest, Carola Häggkvist and the presenters, ex-Eurovision stars themselves, namely Marlaine and Linda Wagenmakers. Today's addition as all female: Birgit Õigemeel from Estonia (who btw has recently revealed she's pregnant, congratulations!), Moran Mazor from israel, Aliona Moon from Moldova (will Pasha Parfeny travel to Amsterdam?) and finally the Serbian girls of Moje 3. Tonight the last semifinal took place in Israel and we have three more qualifiers. Once again I agreed with 2/3 and the second chancer was also among the ones I picked up....
