EUROVISION 2014: HERSI SUPPORTS SAN MARINO. MAYBE

Lovely Hersi surelu supports San Marino and it isn't just One night's anger. She even visited the microstate and speaks Italian and all. Did I mention she's lovely? Good luck Albania!

EUROVISION 204: DAY FOUR - THE LATVIAN TEA PARTY

Today there was a break of the rehearsals in the arena. A part of the singers had though appointment in the recording studios to record their bits of Rainmaker that they will perform together with Emmelie De Forest. Apparently all didn't go as smoothly as the Danes would have wanted, for various reasons.... Anyways, a day off for most ment parties! Parties were arranged all around Copenhagen starting at noon with Macedonia, followed by Latvia, Iceland, Estonia, Georgia...  We opted for Latvia. A Tea party at 2pm and a song title Cake to bake promised well.  And indeed, there were trays full of cakes of various kind with tea or coffee. And a lot of music. Jöran and Katrina with the rest of the band played hosts getting their guests involved with singing. They improvised and entertained us like there was no tomorrow and the other stars that came by just went along:  Hersi from Albania singing in Italian Vivo per lei with Jöran (who certainly isn't Bocelli.....

EUROVISION 2014: DAY THREE: MONTENEGRO PARTY

Montenegro's delegation was having a party in Natcafeen The Duke and Sergej Cetkovic himself was playing the host welcoming all guests and being very available for photos and chats. Very nice guy! nd did I mention his song is very nice, one of the very few ones this year sung in another language than English, hooray for that! There was food and drinks of course, and Sergej obviously sung his entry Moj svijet and its English version My love . And what is a party without guests? Tijana from Macedonia was there and performed her entry To the sky .  Then came Georgia's Mariko and The Shin and gave a vy energetic performance on a chair - yes, you read right, the "stage" was a chair! Talk about inmitate atmosphere. Albania's Hersi and Azerbaijan's Dilara were also expected to appear, but we had to leave for a dinner, so....  Shame, as it was a great party! Oh, the Polish dancers were enjoying the party, too!

#ESC 2014 ALBANIA: HERSI MATMUJA - ONE NIGHT'S ANGER

Hersi (Herciana Matmuja, 24) won the Albanese Festivali i Këngës with Zemërimi i një nate , that is now revamped to One night's anger . This was her fifth attempt to win the contest. She has a dual career going on with pop music and classical music with studies in Rome, Italy. Her entry somewhat embraces both of them and it isn't the easiest piece of cake this year to digest.  Robert: After listening to all the preselection songs in Albania, I was disapponted with the quality of songs and can only conclude they selected the best among the worst. Hersi's song isn't among my favorites this year. No final . Blogilkar : I don't totally agree with by bicycling reporter Robert. I think there were a few goodies in the Albanese selection, and I never saw Hersi coming and winning it. Somehow I can't get a grip of the song at all. I would have sent Venera Lumani & Lindi Islami with Natë e pare or Blerina Brako with Mikja ime instead. No final for Albania t...

ESC 2014: HERCIANA MATMUJA FOR ALBANIA

The three day long 52nd Festivali i Këngës took place right after Christmas and 23-year-old Herciana (also known as Hersi) Matmuja emerged as a clear winner with Zemërimi i një nate that translates to "one night's anger". Time will tell if it's going to be one night only for her in Copenhagen as the song is rather demanding to digest, and how the song will sound after Eurovision revamp. This blogger watched with half eye only the final this year and picked up Venera Lumani & Lindi Islami and Blerina Braka as favorites. Hersi is no stranger to Festivali i Këngës as she took part last year with Kush ta dha kete emer (3rd), with Aty ku më le in 2011 (14th), Me cilin rri ti dashuri in 2010 (11th) . Hersi has graduated from the Conversatorio di Santa Cecilia di Roma in Italy.
