Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Emma awards aka the Finnish Grammy nominations have been revealed. The gala takes place in Espoo's Metro Arena on March 7, 2026. Among the nominees both Finland's and Sweden's Eurovision entrants 2025 with several UMK finalists in 2025 or before. Check out the short list below.  Here we go again. BESS keeps delivering songs and duets and here's another one. Goldielocks entered UMK2025 as the least known artist and in a short while charmed most everyone and placed close second to pre designed winner Erika Vikman. And not only she has conquered the radips as well being the 2nd most played song in the Finnish radios last week - behind another UMK2025 artist Nelli Matula who sits firmly at the #1 spot for the 4th week already. Friday we know if Goldielocks claims that spot from her following her rise in the charts! If it wasn't for Erika this would have been such an amazing entry and maybe the best staging of the whole national selection season!

Finland chose its entry for Eurovision song contest 2025 in Basel in a show from Nokia Arena in Tampere. Some last minute drama was provided by Goldielocks and lost voice, as she was forbid by doctors to speak between dress rehearsal and the final. During the live show it was clear she couldn't sing and the show producers had decided in her favour to use the filmed rehearsal instead. Phew! As she had risen maybe the main contender to challenge Erika after One last morning withdraw/was disqualified taking away another one would only fueled more conspiracy theories against Yle. (Well, I never believed them for that matter but it was worth mentioning this). Update 9.2: 2,270.000 viewers last night  and 342.543 votes given - both are new records! It's time to launch the charts following post again. The first week we can expect both Neea River and Nelli Matula to enter the charts while the others will come next week. And indeed a great start for Nelli as #2 while Neea has to do with #8.  The songs debut (week 3/25)  in  the Radioplay Nelli at #39, Costee at #57, Viivi #63 and  Goldielocks #85. Neea debuted already last week (week 2/25) at #87 and climbs to #80 this week. It's interesting Goldielocks gets radio time but not One Morning Left.... Let's see next week how Erika debuts! Week 4 Erika enters at #2 missing the #1 spot after all but all seven UMK2025 emntries are within Top-12! Goldielocks enters at #6 and One Morning Left at #10. In Radioplay Erika enters at #14. And these are partly pretty much unknown talents with the exception of already familiar Neea River and up and coming indie favorite Goldielocks, already heavily tipped for UMK2025.
