Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Petra Mede might be hosting the show alone but the list of the interval and opening acts is impressive. And she will have some help from Eric Saade in the greenroom.  Loreen will open the first semifinal, and Kleerup will provide the interval act. The two stars recently collaborated in Requiem solution , so who know maybe Loreen shows up in the interval act, too? Dance Orchestra choreographed by Jennie Widegren and Fredrik Rydman will open the second semifinal and the interval act will be Swedish Pop Voices featuring Darin and Agnes Carlsson . For the final ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have joined forces with Avicii in We write the story . The interval act will be Carola starring in a crazy, mad number that is going to be very Swedish. ...

Diandra Flores (18) is the big pre-contest favorite to win UMK 2013 and the only name one can consider big among the artist, or at least a household name in Finland. Her entry is Colliding into you and it's written by Patrik Sarin, Leri Leskinen and Sharon Vaughn, who has co-written Jedward's Waterline and also Release me by Agnes. Diandra or Didi herself shot to fame from Idols 2012 where by most critics she really didn't have any competition to challenge her. Her father comes from Chile that explains her name, and she suffers from synesthesia, meaning she sees the music as colors and shapes! She started with violin at age of six, later won a kid's singing competition and her talent has caught also the eye of American vocal couch David Lee Brewer who took her under his wings a few months ago and she flew to Berlin to work with him. His previous students include Didi's idol Beyoncè. She is also a devoted fan of Lady Gaga. Her debut album ...

The new Friends Arena will be officially opened on October 27, 2012 with a huge concert before being the host for the Melodifestivalen 2013 for example - but not the Eurovision song contest 2013 as we know. The list of the artists is long from The Hives to Tommy Körberg, from Roxette to Agnes and Norrköpings symfoniorkester but the most interesting names might be Loreen and Danny Saucedo. Will the arena be its name worth? :-) Shall there be a cat fight in front of 67.500 people?

Stockholm Pride is over once again and was filled with music, and a lot of Eurovision. Loreen was there performing a rather interesting version of Euphoria , Jedward  was there, so was Agnes , Ivi Adamou ,  Eric Saade , Eleftheria , Star Pilots , ... and many more! Lena Philipsson theme song Du följer väl med? gets a flash mob treatment here . And it was indeed Lena Ph who stole the show in the end and bounced back after her divorce to the arms of her loving and adoring fans. Here . 

Last but not least in this series of some #1's from 2010 here comes the Swedish effort by Agnes & Björn Skifs. When you tell the world you're mine sums up the summer of love and the royal wedding madness, and watching the video brings back the memory of that day. Rarely you see two people so much in love as Victoria and Daniel. And the song fits the atmosphere perfectly. Ah l'amour....

Despite being the first and only Swede todate not to qualify for the Eurovision final, Anna Bergendahl is nominated both the best female artist and the best newcomer in the Swedish Rockbjörnen awards. The other Melodifestivalen/Eurovision related nominees are Agnes (best female), Erik Saade (best male and best new comer), Ola (best male), Salem Al Fakir (best male) and The Ark (best live group). Three out of five best song nominees comes from Melodifestivalen: Manboy , Keep on walking and Unstoppable . The other two are Oscar Linnros's Från och med du and Mando Diao's Nothing without you . In the best foreign song of the year Lady Gaga rules with three out of five moninations: Bad romance , Alejandro and Telephone . The awards are given by the readers of Aftonbladet since 1979.  Anna did beat both Erik and Salem in MF, let's see how it goes here!
