ESC 2011 that could've been 5: Serbia

Turkey didn't have open selection so skip them and go to Serbia where they did have one, with three songs. Nina's Caroban was clearly the best choice and eventually finished 14th in the final. If they had sent Aleksandra Kovac with Idemo dalje they might have stayed in the semifinal but would have had a worthy entry anyways.

Serbia: Here are the songs!

Serbia chose a full family affair by asking a father and two daughters each write s ong for Eurovision and here they are. Aleksandra Kovac is the only one who chose to perform her own song. To keep it in the family she chose lyrics written by her late-mother Spomenka. Father Kornelie chose a band, Breeze while the other sister Kristina trusts in Nina. The Serbian final will be one of those many many on February 26 and there will be televote only. Nina - Caroban Aleksandra Kovac - Idemo dalje Breeze - Ring ring ring

Serbia: Kovač Vs. Kovač Vs. Kovač

Since Zeljko Joksimovic apparently went for Belarus this year the Serbian TV went for another solution: A Kovac family affair (don't forget the Irish family affair) Father Kornelije (59) against his daughters Aleksandra (39) and Kristina (36). Each will write a song and choose an artist for the national final to be held in the end of February. Kornelije already sung for Yogoslavia in 1974 while the daughters have had a succesful career themselves first as K2 and then solo.
