EUROVISION: NEW SOUNDS FROM TWIN TWIN, ENRICO RUGGERI, JANICE MANGION, DAVID CIVERA

While the Eurovision 2019 season is heating up with the pre-parties let's have a look and listen of previous Eurovision stars or wannabes efforts. Enjoy! Twin Twin is dubbing it away with Dub life featuring Hindi Zahra. There's something hypnotic in this video and reggae rhythms... Enrico Ruggeri rocks it away in his latest Come lacrime nella pioggia , off his latest album Alma , released last month. It's already his 28th studio album.... Janice Mangion may have not won the Maltese ticket to Eurovision (yet) but it's always nice to hear someone sing in Maltese like this her new song  Xewqti (My wish).  David Civera is still active and having the Spanish beats and sounds alive. Mundo diverso adds some fashionable reggaeton and Latin sounds to the mix.

WklVids: Last Panda, Popup ft Mikael Saari, David Civera, Blue

Here again some new videos. UMK 2013 finalist Last Panda has released a new song and video, featuring... errr, panda! The girl's gone wild . It follows nicely the genre we already know and the intro feature their UMK entry.... Another link to UMK 2013 comes in POPUP 's video Ikuisuus , that features Mikael Saari . And not only, in the intro they joke that this cetain mentioned person "would be now in Malmö if he only kept his jumper".... Nice touch! This a cappella group features also beatboxer Felix Zenger . Spanish Eurovision veteram David Civera has released a new one, too. Me ha robado el corazon is a nice mix of summer dance music. Another Eurovision veteran, Blue , is back with a new song Without you . Will they manage to breathe some life into their career? Curiously the guys never feature together in this video but only separately. A nice song anyways.

Umberto Tozzi's yesterday and today

Good news for all Umberto Tozzi fans. He releases tomorrow his greatest hits in all new arrangements and recordings titled Yesterday . A double with 36 singles from the mid-70's to 2012, including a brand new duet with Francis Gabrel in Petite Marie . Available in Spain, Belgium and Switzerland at first. But that's not all. In May he will released another double in all markets under title Yesterday, today that includes twelve new songs and another CD with 17 of his biggest hits. The Spanish edition of the later includes also duets with Sergio Dalma ( Tu ) and OBK ( Falsa moral ). Umberto Tozzi is a million sellers whose songs have been worldwide hits by himself but often also my other singers like Laura Branigan ( Gloria , Ti amo ) and recently by Sergio Dalma and David Civera . And then there's Carola . But his originals are the real thing: Tu , Ti amo , Gloria , Eva , Si puó dare di piú and Gente di mare .

David Civera loves covers, too. And Baku 2012?

Not only Sergio Dalma is having success with covers in Spain but also sparkly smiled David Civera has released an album full of classics, this one also featuring some Italian songs like Umberto Tozzi's Ti amo . Seems like David managed to release it as a single before Sergio. The original by Tozzi sold over 8 million copies worldwide and is surely one of the songs most everyone knows to some degree all over the world. And to keep dear Umberto filled with royalties David also covers Gloria , previosly hit to Tozzi , late Laura Branigan and Carola . Just to name a few. Oh, and the best Ti amo cover comes from before mentioned, sadly underrated Laura Branigan. And back to David. He has stated he would like to do it again. Eurovision that is. He has a song ready for Baku 2012 and is waiting for an invitation....

Spain - the karaoke continues.....

Daniel Motiño Camúñez reports   Spain will keep on seeking artist tomorrow in the show Destino Eurovisión Gala 2. The first gala was a total success with more than 2 million viewers and less than 3 hours duration (this is a real success). It was the most viewed show of the night, beating the yellow press shows. This makes me believe that tomorrow it is going to be again the same. Looking at this views, it is more clear that the TVE is not looking for an artist to bring the 3rd victory back to Spain after 42 years, a record of no-wins that only Portugal has beated , but for a show to ensure the audience on Friday nights. I am also curious to see if Auryn will survive the following rounds after the announcement of BBC about Blue representing United Kingdom. Anyway, let's focus and see what is expected tomorrow. On a personal note my three best favorites have promising performances. Alazán will perform Bandido , this can put them straight to the final since they are ...
