Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

A week to go for the announcements and there are more rumors and pretty much oonfirmed guest stars. Laura Pausini is already certain, Eros Ramazzotti has confirmed himself on Twitter his presence and the duet Andrea Bocelli and Ariana Grande seems to be happening live on stage as well following their duet single and video As for the co-hosts next to Carlo Conti there seem to have been a plan to hire the guys of Il Volo but they are unavailable as they are in the middle of their American tour then. So, the solution? Go back to the classic and hire models or actresses so Conti seems to be dealing with classic Italian movie star beauties Sabrina Ferilli (she's done this already) and Monica Bellucci.  Non singing international stars he seems to be after are Julia Roberts and George Clooney, just like last year wasn't it?

The Italian  return entry to the Eurovision song contest, Raphael Gualazzi's Madness of love / Follia d'amore is also featured in the new movie by Giovanni Veronesi. Manuale d'amore 3/Manual of love 3 is the last film of a trilogy dealing with Italian way of love starring Rober De Niro and Monica Bellucci. Watch the trailer here .

... Superstar Monica Naranjo would be the fans choice in Spain according a poll conducted by www.eurovision-spain.com . Monica is followed by Chenoa and Mirela (who should have won last year with Nada es comparable a ti , btw). La 5. Estación , La Oreja de Van Gogh , Marta Sanchez , Diana Navarro , Merche , Rosa and Amaral complete the top-10 wish list by fans. Other interesting names include my favourite Malú (11th), Coral (13th), Soraya (14th), David Bisbal (20th), Amaia Montero (25th), Beth (29th), Enrique Iglesias (40th), David Civera (43rd), Sergio Dalma (46th) and brilliant  Bebe (47th). But as there is an open internet selection for the songs that will start January 13 we can only wish at least some of these artists have applied....

Paolo Bonolis is cooking up in a hurry the next Sanremo festival. His eternal TV partner Luca Laurenti will be there, too, which is good news. Last year's newcomer's winner Sonohra has said they will not participate, which is sad news. However, it seems almost sure that Real Rock will enter Teatro Ariston in the form of Afterhours ! Also Patty Pravo seems to be making yet another visit and so are Matia Bazar (who is their singer these days??). Lost , an Italian imitation of Tokyo Hotel is also given almost a sure thing, as well as reality show Amici winner Marco Carta (and many his fellow competitors are trying to make it throught to Proposte category!). Also 2006 winner Giuseppe Povia seems like returning as well as Pupo. Many names also in the hostess list (there should be a different hostess every night next to Bonolis): Wendy Windham, Angelina Jolie, Monica Bellucci, Carla Bruni Sarkozy and Luciana Littizzetto. I say: drop everybody and have La Littizzetto every night...
