EUROVISION WEDDINGS: GOR AND MARKO GOT MARRIED

Not to each other, mind you. Both the Armenian and Croatian Eurovision 2013 entrants got married recently. Gor Sujyan, the frontman of Dorians married on August 15, 2013 another singer, Varsa Minasyan . Apparently their relation was managed to keep secret until a few months ago....  Meanwhile in Croatia Marko Škugor of Klapa s Mora married on August 9, 2013 his longtime girlfriend Ivana Radovcic and that's not all! She's pregnant and the couple is expecting their first child, already named Andrija around Christmas. Congrats to both!

ESC 2014: YEVA SUJYAN FOR ARMENIA

In our exclusive interviews in Malmö 2013 Eurovision we asked the artists who would they like to represent their country next year in Denmark. Armenian Gor Sujyan of Dorians had an interesting proposal: his sister Yeva Sujyan . He would come and do the backing vocals (just like he did alreeady for Eva Rivas ). Keep it in the family! Yeva Sujyan has gained some fame in her home country, especially after participating in the first season (2010-2011) of local X Factor where she came 6th. She has also been performing in rock clubs with her band but apparently is yet to break through big time. Eurovision could do that for her. She certainly has an interesting voice and personality. Here's Hallelujah , Anush , Adana massacre , Love is something and Rolling in the deep .

ESC 2013 RED CARPET: MACEDONIA, ARMENIA, BELGIUM, LITHUANIA, ISRAEL, NL, MONTENEGRO

ESC 2013 MALMÖ - DAY 6: ISRAEL, ARMENIA, HUNGARY, NORWAY

Next set of songs, inlcuding one of the biggest favorites, Norway... ISRAEL - Moran Mazor - Rak Bishvilo Moran is on stage with her two backing singers and pianist, the same dress and simple staging mainly in blue. She seems to be really full og agony for that guy, the guy in the swimming pool ,  and it's all quite overwhelming really. I'm on edge of loving this, or just liking it a lot in the end. Don't know yet. But... Israeli seems to be heading for the final? ARMENIA - Dorians - Lonely planet Simple rockband presentation for Armenia with moving spotlights and pyros. Gor is a very good vocalist. The song is one's cup of tea, another's not. But I think there are enough rock lovers and Armenians voting to send this to the final. If Black Sabbath fans tune in as well, this will go very far, to the horror of more traditional Eurovision fans.  HUNGARY - ByeAlex - Kedvesem Alex is on stage with his guitarist and backing singer. It's very colorf...

BLOGILKAR EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: GOR SUJYAN

Gor Sujyan, the lead singer of Armenian Dorians is the next one interviewed by the Bicycling reporter Robert in Malmö 2013 Eurovision. He tells - with the help of his lovely translater back up - how the band end up to Eurovision 2013 instead of 2012, how Black Sabbath Tony Iommi reacted when he heard his song was to be in Eurovision, how popular they actually are and how they ended up in Dubai. How about nature and its state? Is he a bit of a nomad? What's he got to do with apricot stone? And what surprising act he proposes for next year? Read it here: Thank you Gor for this interview. You were internally chosen by the Armenian TV. Why do you think they chose you? You perhaps know that Dorians offered to participate already in 2012 Eurovision that was held in Azerbaijan. We even had a song and a video prepaired but as you know for political reasons Armenia didn't participate in the end. After that TV kept us in mind and this year decided to ask us to do it. And we gl...

THIS IS ESC 2013: LITHUANIA, ARMENIA, MALTA

Lithuania - Andrius Pojavis - Something I think today's three songs are the three hardest to predict. Each of them can go either way from total failure to doing surprisingly well and shaking the top of the final scoreboard. Lithuania brings Andrius with his song that does have something indeed. It's very nice to listen to, makes me want to jump in a car and drive endlessly among the fields. Only that I don't have a car nor a licence to drive. There's also a chance he ruins the performance by being too eager and pushy, but of course it's good to see someone is overexcited about his song and clearly enjoys performing it, but maybe a fine tuning here would do good? More elegance and grace? And no gimmicks. Armenia - Gor Sujyan & Dorians - Lonely Planet First it was solo Gor, then with his band and now they go under Dorians only. Why all this fuss about not having Dorians in the national final? And after that poor performance there, the studio version with...

BLACK SABBATH + EUROVISION = ARMENIA

Did you know the song Armenians selected yesterday for Eurovision, Lonely planet performed by Gor Sujyan and the Dorians is written by Black Sabbath's guitarist Tony Iommi? Now you know. I wonder if Iommi knew where his song was going to, or is he a secret Eurovision admirer? Either way, the song in that case is rather watered down version of Black Sabbath's usual material, me thinks... The lyrics are by Vardan Sodyan.

LONELY PLANET WINS IN ARMENIA

What a medicore selection of songs in Armenia! Not that I was expecting so much ever since I heard who was selected internally, only that the presenters kept calling them The Dorians, or Gor Sujyan and the Dorians so how come only Gor Sujyan is named the artist by the TV? Anyways, as I said I didn't like any of the songs even if they improved one by one.... maybe if they had ten songs the last one would have been already pretty good? So, the running order and from worst to less bad:  The truth, No time, Toy planet and Lonely planet .... Whichever wins will be on the bottom of my list.... Sorry! Guest star Gianluca Bezzina from Malta kinda stole the show having suddenly a very nice song in Tomorrow indeed! And then we had Sopho & Nodi from Georgia singing their Quedate. .. err Waterfall . I'm warming up to the song and the couple looks amazingly handsome on stage! And the winner is.... not surprised.... Lovely planet .

GOR SUJYAN FOR ARMENIA

Armenian TV has selected internally Gor Sujyan as their represent. He will perform several songs in a national final on March 2, 2013 and jury+televote will pick up the one he will bring to Malmö 2013. He's 25 and lead singer of rock group Dorians. His father is a famous jazz musician Mkrtich Sujyan, so the talent runs in family. Gor has also been voted the best male singer in Armenia back in 2010 and is known for his voice besides being concidered the best rock singer in the country. Judge yourself here , here , or covering Beatles and singing with Eurovision veteran Patrick Fiori . Update: He will perform four songs, one of them making a travel guide publisher very happy if selected Toy Planet  Lonely Planet  No Time  Lying
