ESC 2016: SVT REVEALES THE TEAM

So, here they are, the lovely people who will be in charge to create our favorite tv-show and event next time. The group is a mixture of old and new, but all experienced people. Here they are: Executive producers: Martin Österdahl and Johan Bernhagen - both were already involved with ESC 2013 among other projects. Martin takes care of the contacts between SVT and EBU and is the even't main spokesperson while Johan will take care of the daily routins and makes sure evenrything concret work out in schedule. Head of production: Tobias Åberg - also involved in ESC 2013. He takes care of the technical things of the show. Contest producer: Christer Björkman - no need of introduction. He will be in charge for the look and feel of the entries on stage, staging and delegations and the running order.  Show producer: Sven Stojanovic - Newcomer in the Eurovision world. SWEDEN TRIES TO STEAL THE FINNISH KISS

We all know about Krista Siegfrids "lesbian kiss" and reactions to it in worldwide media, and especially in some more conservative countries like Turkey, Georgia and Greece (this blogger is still waiting for reactions from Azerbaijan and Russia). But that's not all, SVT is also featuring a gay kiss in their interval act. Martin Österdahl, the executive producer says they are expecting hard critic for it but think it's important finally to show some attention to the gay community in the show. It hsn't been easy for the gay fans and journalists in some present Eurovision contests in Belgrade and Moscow, not to even mention Baku!  But... one question pops into my mind: when did they come up with this idea? Hmm... As we know, the interval and script's jokes and lines are worked until the last minute and for example Björn Gustafsson's part/lines have been cut after dress rehearsasl them being too provocative and causing protests from the commentators. ...

ESC 2013: THE STAGE!

The first impressions of the stage have been revelaed by SVT for the Malmö 2013 Eurovision. This blogger's first thought was Oslo 2010 but that's not a bad thing. The scene designers are Viktor Brattström and Frida Arvidsson : " We work with no moving parts linking stage and arena , but a solid traditional set design " says Frida . Scene elements have been inspired by the form of everything from style studies of butterfly wings and images of moths photographed with a slow shutter speed , the architecturally and technologically advanced modern haute couture . The idea is to bring the audience closer to the performers , while leaving space for modern projection technology .
