Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Vincent Bueno (34), an Austrian-Philippino singer was internally chosen by Austria for Eurovision song contest 2020 in Rotterdam. He's graduated from Vienna Conversatory of Music and has tried to get to Eurovision already in 2016 with All we need is that love , and has served also as a backing singer for Nathan Trent. Vincent also produced the remixed Spanish version of Running on air .  His professional career started, you guess it, with reality talent shows over ten years ago on Musikal! Die show and Idols. He has also tried to break through in Philippines. Three albums to his credit and a string of singles, Alive being his 8th he has also released a lot of Youtube videos, also with his wife and singing family.

  Once again the rumors were true: Austria has confirmed today Vincent Bueno as their represent in the Eurovision song contest 2020 in Rotterdam with Alive , the song that will be only revealed in March 2020. Vincent is no stranger to Eurovision having already tried the national final back in 2016 and has been lately collaborating with Nathan Trent here and there, even in Eurovision events . His breakthrough came with Musikal, Die Show! win in 2008 that lead him to various musicals. He has also a career going in Philippines it seems. He sings in English, German and in Tagalong .  Vincent (34) is of Philippine origin, married with two daughters . The number could be three but his second one sadly only lived 97 minutes. 

Some more new sounds before we are all taken over by the 2019 Eurovision songs full time..... Naviband has released  ВДАЛЬ that translates to distance, far away. Nice little electronic tune with 80s vibe a bit different from the etnofolk I knew from them before.... Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou is back with  Άσκοπα Ξενύχτια (Needless nights). It's always nice to hear her in Greek instead of English. Tim Schou is another artist that keeps releasing new music all the time and Acapella is a little acoustic number. Highly enjoyable! As usual.  Nathan Trent has released Legacy ,  "The song 'Legacy' is about the realization of self-worth, self-belief and the decision to care less about other's opinions and expectations. Essentially, it's an ode to physical and emotional independence and the value of creation." Ok. 

Eurovision Class of 2017 and 2018 release follow ups to their entries. This year's UK entrant SuRie releases Taking it over and fandom seems to agree it's fab, great and fantastic. How ironic - it's like any album track from Jamala really (which in my book is a positive thing) but how come no one's getting excited about Jamala's songs? I wonder. This year's Armenian Sevak Khanagyan goes up tempo compared to his entry but his voice is very recognisable.  Зеркала aka Mirrors is a very Russian sounding pop. Last year's Belgian Blanche continues with Wrong turn the same style but less intensive and less effective. Austrian Nathan Trent teams up with J-Mox for Secrets . 

  What would fit better into rainy autumn that a song about tears that hide in the rain? Romanian Andi Banica 's Ploaia is just that. Catchy and melancholic. Love it. If you don't want to give in to the autumn yet maybe you need some Tequila & Lemon offered by Elena Risteska ? That will surely bring you back to summer beaches in Macedonia or elsewhere..... Margarita muy bonita! Austria's finest Nathan Trent after running on air is offering Good vibes . What it lacks in originality is made up by Nathan as we all know Nathan is adorable. He even shows us some serious moves. He can do no wrong. Right? It may be 13 years since Giuni Russo sadly was taken away from us, but her music is alive. This fall a full album of her unreleased songs were released, reproduced and re-recorded with the sound of the early 80's when these songs were written. But her amazing voice tops it all in its Italian glory. This is Non voglio andare via . It takes us back to 19...

Summer is clearly ending and the stars back to work as well  as the number of beach photos has dropped dramatically.... But here's Helena enjoying a river....
