The Netherlands - Jeangu Macrooy - Grow The host country often has the pressure off and can send something more demanding, like the Dutch this time. Certainly not an easy, catchy song but full of emotion with a good arrangement and a fine vocalist who does what he always does without trying to fit into the ESC model. Except for the lenght and I feel this song just gets going when it reaches the 3 minutes and therefor only.... 7/10 Denmark - Ben & Tan - Yes I get what they are after here, but this really isn't my cup of tea. It's shouty and noisy. Certainly would have worked wonders in an arena full of people, it's catchy and all that but ... No, I find this a bit irritating. Let's continue the series and kill some time having a look at the last decade and see who were the Top-10 best scoring countries in the Eurovision song contest in the past ten years. The ways to calculate are many and here I have used the simple average placement method (and it's not all so serious). Next up is Denmark at n.o 8. They have been doing constantly pretty well except two non qualification in between compensated by a win and additional three top-10 finishes in this decade. Denmark had its DMGP 2020 final last night in an empty Royal Arena in Copenhagen due to the Coronavirus outbreak. One of the pre-contest fan favorites Ben & Tan won it easily while another fan favorite (mine, too)  Human  failed miserably. Benjamin Rosenbohm (17) and Tanne Amanda Ballcells (22) met while doing The Danish X Factor.  Such a shame the missing audience as the stage and production was beautiful. I just really don't agree with the Top-3 at all.... but so it usually is with Denmark and me.  After first round of ten member jury and televotes the Top-3 went to a Superfinal with only televote.
