Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

The Eurovision Cruise weekend is in full swing in Helsinki for the 5th time and last night special guests from Spain took the stage of the Eurovision Night at Hercules Night club.  Mirela opened the night by singing some Spanish entries like Dime and Vuelve conmigo, Euphoria and of course her own entry from 2009, Nada es comparable a ti (4th). Jorge Gonzales wasn't any less and delivered among others Dile que la quiero and even a Spanish cover of Zeljko Joksimovic's Nije ljubav stvar (2012). The house was packed with international Eurovision fans before the sold out cruise with guests from at least 23 different countries. In short year's Eurovision Cruise has grown to the biggest annual Eurovision event after the contest itself what comes to the number of attending people.  Tonight the party continues aborad Baltic Queen with Charlotte Perrelli, Nicky French, Softengine and CatCat . Well done, OGAE Finland!

Hercules Club once again hosts some Eurovision related artists when on Saturday, June 28 EFN and DJ Ohrmeister are not only playing Eurovision favorites but also fan favorite Brequette Cassie and Javi Soleil will perform giving the Pride weekend a Spanish taste. Brequette Cassie came close second in the Spanish final this year with Run (Mas) . This blogger was especially taken by her outstanding performance and Diana Ross-esque hair.  Javi Soleil returns to Helsinki after being part od D'Nash, the boynad that represented Spain that year with I love you mi vida . He's going solo now with songs like Ya no te puedo olvidar and EGO . Helsinki Pride 2014 takes place from June 23 to 29. Valentina Monetta's trip to north started today with a flight from Bologna via Frankfurt to Helsinki. After settling into her hotel it was time for some dinner in restaurant Kaarna where she got her first taste of reindeer! And she loved it, btw. She told she used to be vegetarian for a long time but now she's back to eating meat and feeling much stronger!  The very enjoyable evening in company with Kelly and Maria continued in Hercules nightclub where DJ Ohrmeister was in charge with the Eurovision loaded music. Of course Crisalide was on as soon as she entered the club and in moments she was meeting fans and friends made over the past two editions of Eurovision. Some looked rather stunned to see her there, most where only happy and delighted! And so was she! When The social network song was on she entertained the crowd with some great moves on the dance floor. Oh oh uh uh oh oh.... The evening continued with some latin dancing to Ramón's Para llenarme...

Hercules gay club in Helsinki will be having a Spanish week celebrating the Pride 2011. The fun starts on midsummer eve tomorrow when Jose Galisteo takes the stage. He returns the day after with Venus . Then on Sunday it's all about Venus again. On Monday it's Miriam Segura and Rebeka . Rebeka return on Tuesday with Baltanas , who returns the day after with Anael who returns alone on Thursday. On Friday it's the men only party in the club with D'Nash . D'Nash will entertain the crowds also on Saturday with Dj Gallo. Is that enough of Spanish Eurovision for one week?

Hercules club will host Eurovision Fanclub night on December 3, 2010 in Helsinki. Besides DJ Ohrmeister two Spanish Eurovision stars will join the fun: Anael and Baltánas. Anael (Ana Luisa Santana) tried in 2007 as part of the duo Ybraem, did not managed to qualify for the 2nd round as artist but the song Una Lágrima which she composed together with his partner made it to the top-5 but was not picked to be performed on the big final. One year later she tried solo with Piénsame finishing 6th on the televoting and did not get the ticket to the Big-Final. She is currently working on her first solo album. Baltanás also tried first in 2007 but did not qualify neither in the first round as solo nor when he had a second chance performing as duo. One year later he tried again but his song was lost in the televoting competition not being able to achieve the top-20; however the took part in the semifinals as backvocalist from Coral performing Todo está en tu mente , which finished ...
