Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Hercules Club once again hosts some Eurovision related artists when on Saturday, June 28 EFN and DJ Ohrmeister are not only playing Eurovision favorites but also fan favorite Brequette Cassie and Javi Soleil will perform giving the Pride weekend a Spanish taste. Brequette Cassie came close second in the Spanish final this year with Run (Mas) . This blogger was especially taken by her outstanding performance and Diana Ross-esque hair.  Javi Soleil returns to Helsinki after being part od D'Nash, the boynad that represented Spain that year with I love you mi vida . He's going solo now with songs like Ya no te puedo olvidar and EGO . Helsinki Pride 2014 takes place from June 23 to 29. More info here .  Hercules Club has something going on all week as well, like on Tuesday night Jari Sillanpää performing.

Hercules gay club in Helsinki will be having a Spanish week celebrating the Pride 2011. The fun starts on midsummer eve tomorrow when Jose Galisteo takes the stage. He returns the day after with Venus . Then on Sunday it's all about Venus again. On Monday it's Miriam Segura and Rebeka . Rebeka return on Tuesday with Baltanas , who returns the day after with Anael who returns alone on Thursday. On Friday it's the men only party in the club with D'Nash . D'Nash will entertain the crowds also on Saturday with Dj Gallo. Is that enough of Spanish Eurovision for one week?

Daniel Motiño Camúñez reports   D'Nash or Basty, Javi and Mikel as a trio have released a new album called Garabatos . The album will be officially presented next 26th March in Penélope, Madrid at 9PM. In their website the boys describe their last work as "more mature with enriched sounds from their musical growth ". The album contains 15 tracks, 9 of them composed by D'NASH. Here you have the first single En Medio de la Calle or In the middle of the street . (Very middle of the road indeed. But in a nice way. Ed.note)

Blogilkar guest writer Daniel Motiño Camúñez reports: Mecano is propably the most popular Spanish band till now. In 1981 Ana Torroja and the brothers José and Nacho Cano formed the group in Madrid. They were really innovative and advanced by the time in Spain . Now they get a musical makeover by some Spanish eurostars. The country was starting to walk on democracy and they introduced synth-pop sounds to a boring grey musical scene which was dominated by stupid sangria, fiesta and playa hits by then. Hoy no me puedo levantar (I can't get up today) was their debut single, followed by the album called "Mecano". They released their last album in 1991 but only one year later decided to have a break of at least 3 years; things turned up and they ended up with a polemic split in 1998 after releasing a greatest hits album with seven unpublished songs which sold over 1 milion copies only in Spain. Overall Mecano released six studio albums in Spain and Latinamerica...

I got an email complaining about the idea of this "naked singers" in this blog as it has nothing to do with Eurovision. Well, I must admit it was not my original intention but to present some songs for summer I like or felt are fitting. Then I discovered one naked singer after another and the series took a little turn to that direction. But to say it has nothing to do with Eurovision is not right. Above we have pictures of Ruslanas Kirilkinas, Azis, Gary Revel J r and Marco Banderas , all international and national Eurovision veterans or wannabes. Ruslanas was to take part in Lithuanian selection this year but withdraw (and he has been in the Finnish Idols). He's done some gayporn in the past. Azis backed Mariana Popova in ESC 2006 and has proudly displayed his enlargement results of his privates in photos besides many other controversial photos and videos. Gary Revel Jr's participation in Euroviisut 2005 was in danger after someone published some old porno photos of ...
