EUROVISION 2024 GEORGIA: NUTSA BUZALADZE - FIREFIGHTER

Georgian GPB announced on January 12, 2024 that Nutsa Buzaladze has been internally selected for Eurovision song contest 2024 and at the same time launched an open call for song. They received around 300 submissions and March 11, 2024 they announced the song is Firefighter, written by Darko Dimitrov. This is his 13th Eurovision entry - for 4th country after several entreis for North Macedonia and Serbia, and one for Albania previously.  Nutsa (27) is a Georgian singer-songwriter born in Tbilisi but grew up in Turkey. She's been performing since she was 5, and learned piano since she was 8. Later she has lived also in Los Angeles and in Dubai. Her pop singer career started in Georgia's got talent in 2011, continued in Jurnala's New Wave festival in Latvia 2014 representing Georgia. GEORGIA: HERE ARE THE APPLICANTS FOR EUROVISION

In some countries hundreds, in some thousends apply for the Eurovision song contest. In Georgia we have 27 applicants*. Surely makes the life of the selecting jury easier. How the winner is chosen is not made known but rumor is there will be a national final of some form and some number of entries. Though last time they did one the artists performed on video instead of belting their entries out live on stage.... We live intriguing times while waiting what they have come up this time around....  Anyways, among the applicants from the previous selections like Misha Sulukhia and Eter Beriashvili at it again and a lot of talent show royalty: winner of the Voice 2013 Mariam Chachkhiani , Georgian Idol winner 2009 Oto Nemsadze who has done also the Voice of Ukraine, some names from X Factor ( Andria Glevesiani, Giorgi Chikovani, Sparkle ) and even to New Wave winners: Rati Durglisvhili (2008) and Nutsa Buzaladze (2014). Out of this lot they should get out something good, right?...
