EUROVISION 2024: SEMI-FINAL ONE - THE DAY AFTER

"Here we are back in Sweden. I know, don't blame me, I voted for Finland as well." That's how Petra Mede and Edward af Sillén the scriptwriter decided to open the 2024 Eurovision song contest in Malmö. Just gotta love them both. And yes, today's news is Käärijä will perform in tomorrow's second semi-final besides giving the Finnish jury's votes in Saturday's final.  Another fun moment was the Grindr joke. If there's something good in Sweden's Eurovision it's Petra and Edward. This is Petra's third time (Edward has quite a few more) as host of the show. First alone in 2013 after Loreen won and the contest was in Malmö, sounds familiar? Then she did 2016 in Stockholm with Måns Zelmerlöf and after solo, with a man she's now trying a woman, actress Malin Åkerman and it works beautifully. Petra keeps delivering those little jokes here  and there with stoned face and Malin plays the more serious role. The scandal 1 of the evening is Eri...

Four Swedes (one born in Finland), two Finns and one Terry Wogan. The Nordics know how to host! (And Terry)

SWEDEN: THE INVOLUNTARY DIVA AND FAGHAG PETRA MEDE HAS HER OWN SHOW FINALLY

Last month Petra Mede premiered her very first own floor show in Maxim Theater in Stockholm after being one of the most beloved comedians for over ten years. This is what she tells to QX magazine about the show, Eurovision, being Faghag and what Alcazar Andreas has thought her: "I have had the privilege of constantly getting challenging assignments assigned to me. But I am a prophet of doom, and believe that every gig will be my last. So to my parents' joy I have always the idea to start studying to become a teacher" , she jokes. "But I have some involuntarily ended up in this fantastic slot managing large galas and events like Eurovision. I love it very much, and am so comfortable in leading an evening and being funny. But unfortunately, they are of course limited in number so I want to go on to become a stage performer, creating my own platform. And I insist on singing even though many try to thwart me!" she laughs. "Eurovision is just about th...
