Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Romania is very black and white. The backdrop has containers and photos of those children their Romanian parents left home when they went for earning money abroad. The stage is full of their suitcases, with kids photos projected on the floor. I know they are in for a good cause but there's a risk it gets a bit too underlining. The song is good though and Romania will sail to the final once again. How far it gets there is another matter though....

Romania has a lot of baggage. Literally and figuratively. The song's about the kids left home while the parents have immigrated to Germany and other countries. Black and white photos of kids are projected in the background and the band is dressed in black and white, too, as the stage is also lit in white. Simple and effective. Also texts in Romanian are projected in the backdrop, apparently facts and figures of those separated families. Good cause. Good song. Good staging.
