EUROVISION 2020: HURRICANE TOOK SERBIA BY STORM

Hurricane was a big pre-contest favorite and totally ruled the Beovizija 2020 votes gaining full marks by both the jury and televoters already in the semi-final, and repeated the same in the final. And for a change there's nothing fishy about it. If not the fact the televoters and juries didn't agree pretty much on anything else....(except Naiva and Marko more or less in the mid table) Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić and Ksenija Knežević or the Hurricane girls have been performing together since 2017 and as a funny coincidence their Eurovision history is quite linear: Ksenija's dad Knez sung in Eurovision 2015  Adio , Sanja herself 2016  Goodbye and now they are doing Hasta la vista together! Hurricane has released a string of singles so far but no album yet and are apparently very popular in the region. Check out below the results and performance videos (and here the semi-final results ) 1. Hurricane - Hasta la vista (televote 12 + jury 12) 24 2. Naiva -  Ba...

ESC 2016: SANJA HAS THE HOTS FOR JOE

Another classy article from Daily Star I just have to share. LOL. Apparently the Serbian sassy Sanja Vucic ZAA is all over Joe and Jake's Joe, "like a rash. She's obsessed with him." Eurovision officials and fellow acts have been "shocked" by Sanja's antics. It all started at the Welcome Party and she allegedly tried to get Joe back to her hotel room. Yup. Poor little Joe has resisted her charms.

ESC 2016 SERBIA: THE SECOND REHEARSAL

Changes. New LED backdrop. New camera angles and shots. New make up and hairdo for the backing. They are also wearing their stage dresses today and Sanja belts out the song about violance against women like there's no tomorrow. Big message but it won't overpower the song's power. A lot of black and red all over. I'm loving this. Sanja is fantastic, love the song, love the staging. One of my favorites.

ESC 2016 SERBIA: THE FIRST REHEARSAL

All about domestic violance in Serbia's staging, as the song suggests. Despite the heavy topic the song'sgreat and the performance fitting without being too underlining. The four female backing singers cover their eyes and mouths, a male dancer comes in later and and lifts one of the females who tries to get away. Powerful. As are Sanja's vocals, and the song. Silver and red in the backdrop but Sanja's dress is still a mystery. It seems only positive comments all over the media and as being one who loved the song to start with this is all kinds of wonderful. Straight to the final and hopefully very high on the scoreboard in there. In the choreography there's a hint of Serbia's winning performance in Helsinki 2007. Both red color and the choreography in the end. In the Meet & Greet Sanja shines, too, edgng stand up show at parts. . She says it was a wonderful experience to be on that stage, the biggest she's ever been to so far. She's born to do ...

ESC 2016 SERBIA. SANJA VUCIC IT IS

After the leak RTS has today confirmed it's indeed 22-year-old Sanja Vučić. They didn't however confirm the song is the rumored Shelter, penned by Ivana Peters (who may or may not have been RTS original artist choice for 2016). The song will be revealed next week. It's apparently about violance against women, thus following the direction RTS took last year with Bojana and the song is, sigh, in English.  Sanja was the lead singer of band ZAA that has toured all ex-Yogoslavia and released albums.
