ESC 2016 GEORGIA: THE EXCLUSIVE NIKA KOCHAROV INTERVIEW

Ahead of tonight's second semifinal where Nika Kocharov and his Young Georgian Loltaz will perform Midnight gold , Nika sat down with my Flying reporter Robert in Stockholm. He talks about his musical style and his band's history. He also tells the secret which member of the band it's best to be. And how did they end up at Eurovision and what they expect from it? And what's the difference with a normal performance and Eurovision? And what's Thomas G:son got to do with it all? What does he think of the other songs? And how many times he has watched Eurovision? ESC 2016 GEORGIA: THE SECOND REHEARSAL

Is Eurovision ready for this psychedelic light beams and mirror effects? We wil find out next week. They are totlaly happy with their rehearsal and ready to go. They say they are done with rehearsing but hey, I've got news for you: three more rehearsals before the big night. And if and when they qualify some more! 

ESC 2016 GEORGIA: THE FIRST REHEARSAL

Quick camera shots and zooms, flashing lights and animations, mirror images and duplicated band members to create a psychedeic and kaleidoscopic effect. Thats's Georgia ladies and gentlemen! Smoke pyros for the final touch. Very colorful, very 70's. Yellow and purple lights. The song's about the day after, the infamous "dagen efter" in Swedish. Now that's explains it all. It must have been stronger than aspirin and Sprite these guys had.... The fandom has woken up. I have thought this will qualify since the day one, despite it being among my favorites but I do find it amusing in some ways. In the Meet and Greet the guys told the rehearsal and stage were ok "they've played big venues before". Hmm. Not impressed? That's something new. Then they talk about their song writing process. And how Britpop is one of their influences. And Nika is into cooking! He was even in a cooking show recently. He did a salad. I wonder if he added some magica...
