Once again some more or less recent releases from Eurovision stars. Enjoy! Anna Rossinelli has kept her career going nicely and this Hold your head up comes from her Swiss #1 album released this January. The video has an interesting floating in the milk kind of imaginary, that Italian Dolcenera took a step further in her Piú forte .... Also Laura Rizzotto has been very active post-Eurovision and her latest is Tightrope . As usual she has written the song herself. There's also a remix Severina has been dropping hits the past two years including Halo , and finally released a new album this year. Hungary - AWS - Viszlát Nyár Hungary is in the league of their own this year, and the staging is pretty much what was expected. You like it or you don't. The singer uses both bridge and the catwalk to run around barefoot and scream away his song with an energy of a little village. The guitarist crowd-surfs. This is heavy rock'n roll baby! Keep moshing. This is yelling its way to the final. Blue and golden lights with strobos. From lighting to her Victoria Secret inspired revealing dress. She stands with her microphone until she's had enough and throws the stand away. Latvia - Laura Rizzotto - Funny girl Latvian-Brazilian Laura Rizzotto (23) has lived her life so far between Minnesota, Rio de Janeiro, New York and Latvia. She has studied in Berklee (Boston), California and Columbia Universities so she certainly knows music. And no doubt she's talented singer and songwriter. That doesn't however hide the fact her Funny girl needs some what acquired taste for this kind of music. Generally this could be my cup of tea so to speak, but no. This is dull and uninteresting. Live it works a bit better but about one minute mark my attention drifts elsewhere and I find myself checking the contents of my fridge while she's still singing her song. Latvia's Supernova comes to an end tonight after three semifinals, where two songs qualified for the final out of seven thanks to jury/televote. In the second semi there were technical problems with the televoting and actually Markus Riva qualified ahead of Ritvars. In fair game he was added to the final line up, and Ritvars was kept as well making it seven for the final. MADARA is the designed winner, but let's see. Rather weak line up in general, none stands out, except MADARA but how many times do you want to hear that one? I got tired half way the second run. She's no Enya. And has a lot to desire in live vocals, like most everyone here. Maybe it's Riva's time finally? Or funny girl laughs in the end? Earlier this week a wildcard was given to one of those entries that didn't first make it, and it went to televoting favorite Sudden Lights and their Just fine .                           ...
