Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

The Spanish fans launched a poll to see who they would prefer to represant their country in the 2011 Eurovision song contest and Chenoa is narrowly their favourite, almost head to head with Mirela, 2.243 votes against 2.232. Soraya despite her flop in Eurovision came third with 1.995 votes. The top trio is followed by Natalia Jiménez (1.974), ex-vocalist of La 5. Estacion, Marta Sánchez (1.923), Malú (1.917), La Oreja de Van Gogh (1.888), Mónica Naranjo (1.865), Edurne (1.847) and another ex-Eurovision star Rosa (1.836). Other familiar names include Enrique Iglesias (12th), Coral (14th), Hevia (15th), Anabel Conde (17th), Venus (19th), Maria Isabel (20th), David Bisbal (28th), Ana Torroja (33rd), Ainhoa (34th) and Amaia Montero (44th). The Spanish TV has launched an open call for both singers and songs this time around. Let's wait and see if any of these artists will apply.... One day left to vote in Spain and then we will have the top-10 for the national final. I guess the game is more or less over but you can still vote and try to change at least some positions but nothing can drop bs like John Cobra (except disqualification. Anyone?). Further disqualifications in Spain including #2 El Pezon rojo but still some ridiculous entries are in the top-10 like John Cobra but Ainhoa has dropped El Gato, thank heavens! Still 1,5 days to vote so vote Ainhoa to keep her in the top-10! She has become my favourite on top and the song's good. Listen yourself here . And vote here .

The voting is hot in Spain. In 3 days the mark of one million votes has been passed and Facebook, blogs and forums are filled with anti-Pop Star Queen groups and topics but she is still leading with nearly 100.000 votes while Coral is catching up again about 20.000 votes behind. El pezón rojo has less than half the votes of Coral in third place while Chimo Bayo ft CodeName follows 20.000 votes behind El pezón. Then it gets more even: Samuel y Patricia, Lorena, Venus, Daniel Diges, Anabel Conde and Ainhoa are all very close to each other and complete the top-10. Out of this top-10 I would personally only save Coral ,  Ainhoa and Daniel Diges . Rafael De Alba is slowly climbing up and reaching the Top-50. Vote him here!
