Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

When we were pretty certain Slovakian TV would skip Eurovision again out of the blue they come out and announce they have internally chosen Miro Smajda (or his band Mi.RO) to rock Baku 2012. Miro shot to the fame in a talent show in 2009 and was concidered also for 2011 until the Twiins were selected instead.  Watch his Loneliness and Baby . There's no information on possible Eurovision entry yet....

UPDATE: It looks like it's true: Twiins for Eurovision 2011 with I'm still alive, written by a Swedem Andreas Carlson. Sigh. Slovakia who in the end decided to participate in Dusseldorf after initial yes, then no, then yes again will announce its entry tonight. Usually they have had one of the longest lasting selection procedures with dozens of songs but now it looks like there have been only a very few acts in concideration: the most propable Twiins or the plan B Misha . Apparently also Miro Šmajda of Idols fame was concidered and Mukatado band that already tried their luck back in 2009 when they came 2nd with Ja sa mam . Well, we will know tonight who will try to break the spell and make the final for the first time, and then once there break the best placing of 18th Slovakia gained back in 1996.
