I was planning to ignore the Sanmarinese 1in360 selection process until final stages, but something came up and I just have to do my duty. No, it's not Valentina Monetta but the next best thing: Michele Imberti. Share some love and click like. Pretty please? (And you propably know his song, too, btw)

and Sergey opened his Podel Shtrudel shop
Eric was still starstruck by Kikki
Freddie had some cake. His dog was jealous.
Rybak was a happy shopper
Poli had some - again....
Isaiah went for a muddy swim
Lindita did what she does best
Vaclav had an urgent need to paint his walls
Tamara did Israel
This week's cover girls are Iveta and Helena
How was your week?
Francesca Michielin has released another single off her future album and Io non abito al mare is already a hit. Well done.
Michele Bravi has released Tanto per cominciare, yet another single off his highly succesful album, recently re-released with extra songs. Meanwhile he's having his first sold out Italian tour going...
Gionnyscandal didn't make it to Sanremo Giovani this year either, but this was his song, Malpensa. Certainly it would have been an interesting add to the line up IMHO.
Tony Maiello's latest is L'amore che conosco. Strangely he hasn't submitted a song to San Marino. Lol.

Finnish variety show Tähdet, tähdet, hosted by Eurovision 2007 host Mikko Leppilampi, where artists compete every week performing a different genre this season also Eurovision got its night. In tonight's episode the remaining artists sung their hearts out with Eurovision songs, choreographies, glitter and wind machines. Sadly only five artists are left in the show, so we only got to enjoy only five songs. Eurovision wannabes Mikael Saari and Tomi Metsäketo have already been voted out in the previous weeks.... (Next week will be country, last week was Finnish singer-songwriters for example)
Krista Siegfrids was the expert jury member and also opened the show with an Eurovision medley with the respective choreographies doing an amazing job with My number one, Wild dances, Dancing Lasha tumbai, Marry me and Pump pump.
Lordi was the guest star of the show proving once again despite all, they like to pop into the Bubble time to time again. They did Hard rock hallelujah, of course.
Krista also told where she was when Lordi won: "I was hosting a party at home in Vaasa, as always. When the voting started we were so loud the neighbours called police. Soon enough there were two cops at the door telling us to end the party and be quiet. I was like "FINLAND IS WINNING EUROVISION!. Come in!!!" and they: "Really? Oh, party on!" and they came in and sat on the sofa to watch the end of the show with us!
Erika Vikman - Eläköön elämä
The pop tango singer did justice but this was maybe closest to her own genre of all these genres.
No one beats Sonja Lumme though. Horrible styling, too
Jannika B - Diggi-loo diggi-ley
Jannika looked like Carola doing Herrey's, in Swedish. Nice enough
Andrè Linman - Bye bye baby
CatCat was wildly applauding for him in the audience. The heavyrocker jumped totally into the Eurovision bubble and delivered a fun performance.
Erja Lyytinen - Molitva
Erja delivered once again. Amazing performance despite being ill, singing the chorus in Serbian and giving goosebumps all the way.
Elias Kaskinen - Euphoria
Conan the Barbarian with glitter doing male version of Loreen's dance. So kitch it was already fabulously weird and superb! Despite missing most of the notes.
In the end televoters kicked Erika - Jannika being second to last - out and Erja won this episode. Well done televoters!
And meanwhile Mr Lordi did what he has done ever since I have seen him in tv, that is for over ten years: licking people's ears. Only this time social media erupted with #metoo proving all this #metoo affair is becoming ridiculous..... (No offence for those real #metoo cases)
Still a month to go to find out the Big category artists in Sanremo 2018 and while the rumor mill has been maybe less frantic than usual some names keep popping up, and this week the main television oriented magazine that usually knows a thing or two give some names as certain.
La Rua band was eliminated last year from the Newcomers causing quite a stir. They might get their chance this year, and it's rumored to be a duet with Federica Carta, from Amici fame and if I remember right also she tried to get to Sanremo Newcomers last year....
The Kolors are rumored once again. Let's see if their vanishing fame and popularity makes them try Sanremo card to gain something more, and switch to Italian for the occasion.
Marco Carta, previous Amici and Sanremo winner, been a bit forgotten but made an impact winning the latest season of Tale e Quale Show (Your face sounds familiar) and could finally make it back to Sanremo, and deserves it.
Last year's Newcomers winner Lele should be in.
L'Aura has a certain fanbase that every year pushes her Sanremo dreams. Is this the year? Same goes for Levante, currently one of the X Factor judges.
Enzo Avitabile, Napoletan singer/saxophonist could be the "old glory" this time.
Giovanni Caccamo, previous Sanremo newcomers winner and third placed in Big category could make a comeback.
Alexia, also previous winner and runner up, ex-Eurodance Queen turned Italian pop balladeer coud also use Sanremo to boost her somewhat forgotten career, And she deserves it. She would deserve Eurovision for that matter as well!
Thegiornalisti has made it big over the last year from independent pop band to mainstream chart topper and could finish the job with Sanremo participation....
Le Vibrazioni could be the rockband of the occasion this time.
Noemi, Elodie, Arisa, Dolcenera, Nina Zilli are said to be fighting for the female slots.
This blogger would love to see also Marcella Bella, Ivana Spagna, Fiordaliso, Samuel, Riki, Carmen Consoli, Fabrizio Moro, Malika, Mietta, Lisa, Deborah Iurato, Francesco Da Vinci, Michele Bravi, Mahmood, Rocco Hunt, not forgetting very unlikely Alice. And many others.....
But let's wait and see. Last year the singers themselves found out if they are in when Carlo Conti announced the names on live television, and apparently the last decisions were made the very same day. So anything can happen until December 20....

There has been enough of drama in the Greek selection process for the Eurovision song contest 2018, as always. Long story short: Only three artists and songs seem to be left in the race and will take part in the February final, when televoters have their say on the outcome.
Earlier this week two songs were disqualified. Depending on sources because they were not Greek enough in sound (remember Greek television wanted a song in Greek and with Greek elements so hej då Mello pop from Sweden - about the time, too!), or because the artists were a bit too close to ERT and they wanted to avoid yet another scandal.
Horostalites - Apo tin Thraki eos tin Kriti
Areti Ketime - Min ksehnas ton ilio
Yianna Terzi - To oneiro mou
Tony Vlachos - Baila jazz (disqualified)
Duo Fina - Idio tempo (disqualified)
First they were 43 as slipped away by RTP, then EBU confirmed 42, and now it's 43 again and the curse is beaten for once and apparently Macedonia has paid its debts to EBU, or at least managed to get an agreement when and how to pay it. Thus, 2018 will match 2008 and 2011 as the record number of participating countries, 43. If only Bosnia & Herzegovina were able to take part we would have had a new record. Or if Turkey or Slovakia returned... (or Andorra, Luxembourg, Monaco or Morocco for that matter :-) )
I feel pretty much like Kaliopi at 2'30 mark....
