Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Cyprus has decided in a smal studio of screaming Doody fans. The endless marathon in the end gave us six good solid entries to choose from and all delivered on stage when it mattered. Head of delegations from Italy and France, Nicola Caligiore and Bruno Berberes were there, too, while Christer Björkman from Sweden was left home. In the interval a lot of old Eurovision songs were performed in nice medleys by the performers and judges. A lot of Italian and French songs.  In the end Giannis Karagiannis won with Stronger every minut ... I mean One thing I should have done beating the televoters favoirite Panagiotis with jury votes. Also Cyprus has nearly come to and end with its long selection marathon aka Eurovision Song Project and we have the six finalists only left. The final will take place on February 1, and will be streamed live by eurovision.tv. There's Cypriot rock, an Eurovision ballad in Greek-French, Cypriot Enrique Iglesias, a touch of Armenia, Constantinos little brother and male Lisa Andreas. It's almost a full male cast Charis being the only female among them.... Among all that crap they managed to get together a rather decent line up (considering what was in offer). The endless marathon in Cyprus is coming to an end. Ten songs and artists remain in the race after the first Eurochallange round. Next week they will be cut to six ahead of the final on February 1, 2015. The whole lot is rather mediocre, I'm afraid, but I have a feeling we might get that duet in Vienna which would be okeyish if it stays non-English. Koufogiannis has a sort of weak vocals charms going on, same kind that has made Enrique Iglesias to sell millions of records. The other song in Greek by Rialas has also some charm, so does Tselepou and we can't forget Hovig. And if they want something that we surely won't expect from Cyprus it could be Minus one. And then there's Stronger every minute , part 2 aka One thing I should have done .
