Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Here we go again! Once again Blogilkar's home jury has sat through the songs and videos and voted from 1 to 10. This year the jury consisted of pre-teens, 20somethings, 30somethngs, 40somethings and 50somethings. Even a dog participated and went nuts for Romania but was not allowed to vote. Most of the jury members had not heard any of the songs beforehand, some not even the Finnish one.And yes, this jury didn't care for betting odds, fan favorites or wanks but only their own taste and first impression! I will be counting down from bottom to the top and  here are places 33-36. Check out also places 37th to 40th . 33. LATVIA -  Citi Zēni - Eat Your Salad (Average score 4,14) Works maybe once – but then again that's all they need. Works live but would I listen to this again? No. Promises more than it delivers in the end, not forgetting the pussy. And pre-teens think this is old people's jazz music.  34. ISRAEL - Michael Ben David - I'M (Average score (4,14) Maroon5 ...

The Israeli X Factor marathon also came to an end last weekend and in the end I have very mixed feelings: As much as I wanted Michael Ben David to win but not with a song like this.... I.M is a show number rather than a song.... Check out all the final songs here . It was a close run though and he won with one point only thanks to public vote that overrun the professional juries where Eli Huli was the favorite: 1. Michael Ben David - I.M (jury 50 + professional committee 46 + public vote 118) 214 2. Eli Huli - Blinded dreamers (58 + 60 + 95) 213 3. Inbal Bibi - Marionette (42 + 44 + 87) 173 Michael Ben David (26) is of Russian-Ukrainian and Georgian origin, singer-dancer and has studied also acting. He was bullied at school and came out publicly at the age of 16.  Here are some of his songs I enjoyed maybe more than the winning entry:

The long Israeli X Factor, who's winner gets to go to Turin 2022 Eurovision started in October and now finally we have only six new artists left. Next we will have further selection were six become four and then we get to the real business: the eventual Eurovision entries! Next Sunday the six will perform covers as until now and after duels two will be eliminated. Then the four remaining will be given their two entries and the final is not anymore only among artists but also the songs and their combination. Each four will have one of their two songs voted for the final on January 30. The grand final with four artists with their chosen songs is on February 5, 2022. I have been keeping half an eye on the process and out of these six the boys beat the girls 3-0, and especially Michael Ben David has done beautifully time after time, not forgetting Eli Huli. The remaining six are: Anna Stefani Inbal Bibi Sapir Saban Michael Ben David Eli Huli Sachar Adawi
