Inculto doesn't funk anymore

Inculto who showed us some Eastern European funk in Oslo 2010 all calling it quits in a month. And as a farewell you can download their last album for free . This blogger will miss these crazy guys and wishes them all the best in their separate ways. Here's their farewell letter: Dear friends, as some of you probably know by now, InCulto (performers of Lithuania's 2010 ESC entry Eastern European Funk) will call it a day at the end of January 2011. "It's been a great year for us - we took part in ESC which was an unforgettable experience, played many concert halls, city squares, clubs and even apartments all over Europe and released what we think is our finest album. We all came to a decision it's best for everyone involved to move on to new exciting projects. Massive thank you to everyone who listened and enjoyed our music - it was a great ride", the band's singer Jurgis Didziulis said. As a parting gift, go and grab a FREE download of the ba...

Press conference InCulto way: Danzing!

Most of the press conferences are rather boring really. Sometimes we get the artists sing accapella like Slovakia or such like Finland . InCulto from Lithuania takes it further by performing live. Verka Serduchka's Lasha tumbai from Helsinki 2007. And the press conference wasn't so dull anymore... Here .

Oslo 2010: Day 6 - Lithuania

We move on smoothly from the first semifinal to the second when the rehearsals continue. The crazy guys from Lithuania next. Minor changed to the staging, mainly lightning issues but otherwise the act is the same. Fans have very divided opion about this one but considering majority of the voters hear and see this one for the first time I think it will qualify, the joke haven't yet worn out for them. Mind you, I have a soft spot for this song even after many hearings :-). Video .

EXCLUSIVE: InCulto talks!

Jurgis, the lead singer of InCulto sat down to answer some questions exclusively for BlogIlkar. Are they third time lucky? Wearing the hot pants in Oslo? How is life postSov? Do they like Verka and what Erica Jennings has to do with it all? First of all thank you for bringing some crazy funk to the Eurovision! Do you think you have the right recipe to charm all of Europe?   I can't be sure.  I think that people with a good healthy sense of humor will get our angle.  We're not out to charm everyone, we're out to have a good time.  Our recipe is very very tasty though . This was your second try to get to Eurovision, are you happy you didn’t win the first time?   Its actually our third try.  LT United got the best of us last time around. Your video features some previous Lithuanian Eurovision stars. Who’s idea was that?  They're our friends.  We weren't really trying to capitalize on their fame.  They are very nice and expressive people ...

Easter greeting from Lithuania!

InCulto wishes you Happy Easter! Here .

INCULTO FOR LITHUANIA!

InCulto has just won the Lithuanian final with  East European funk It would be easy to label it as a  joke act but I think it is not, despite the men's strip tease á la Bucks Fizz in the middle. I guess I should by principle dislike it but I don't, I kinda like it! I found Aiste rather pretendious and the only other alternative was Agama, or maybe Evelina. Aiste came second for the zillioth time and best singer of the evening Evelina Sasenko surprisingly third beating Agama who got a special award for something (text?). Points were given Eurovision style 50-50% televote-jury and InCulto won both: 1. InCulto   24 2. Aiste   20 3. Evelina Sasenko   14 4. Agama   13 5. Sasha Song & Nora   12 6. Merunas   12 7. Ruslanas Kirilkinas   7 8. Ramunas Difartas   6 9. Eden   4 10. Monika Linkyte   3 11. Amberlife   1 12. Jurate Miliauskaite   1
