Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Hungary is finally getting seriously busy selecting their entry when after three heats, each with ten song this weekend we have the semifinals; first on Saturday, second on Sunday.  The jury will send two songs to the final, and then televoters additional two of the remaining ones. I would go for Tibor, András, Lilla and Gergö but that leaves then out Ildikó and Plastikhead among others. Tough semi. Hungary's A Dal starts tonight. In a rather lenghty process there are first three semifinal with ten songs each and six qill qualify for the semifinals; three by televote, three by jury vote. The jury is made this year of Csaba Walkó (Compact Disco, ESC 2012), Philip Rákay, Jenő Csiszár, Viktor Rakonczai (ex-member of VIP, ESC 1997) and wonderful Magdi Rúzsa (ESC 2007). Apparently Hungarians don't see anything strange in the fact another ex-VIP member Rácz Gergö is competing this year.... You can listen to all songs here . This blogger kinda enjoyed with the first hearing the songs by Tibor, Tamás and beforementioned Gergö. Hungary has also made public the 30 semifinalists for A Dal, their national selection for the Eurovision 2013 in Malmö. Once again several familiar names among them from Puskás Peti to Gyurcsik Tibor and Kállay Saunders András. The chances are Hungary is going to be represented by a pretty boy from some reality series as it seems majority of the artists are young male singers!
