Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

  Here we go again! Once again Blogilkar's home jury has sat through the songs and videos and voted from 1 to 10. This year the jury consisted of pre-teens, 20somethings, 30somethngs, 40somethings and 50somethings. Even a dog participated and went nuts for Romania but was not allowed to vote. Most of the jury members had not heard any of the songs beforehand, some not even the Finnish one.And yes, this jury didn't care for betting odds, fan favorites or wanks but only their own taste and first impression! Pre-contest favorite Sheldon Riley with his Not the same has won the Australian national final for Eurovision song contest 2022.  Sheldon (22) is of Australian and Filipino origin. He started his career in 2016 with X Factor without much success being eliminated as soloist, then put into a boyband that was eliminated in the live performance stage. Two years later he was back trying The Voice of Australia this time, and better luck as he finished third. He has released three singles before Not the same. Australia has announced now all the ten finalists of Australia decides Eurovision 2022 - with a twist. First of yes, there's a returning Eurovision veteran. Yes, here's a returning artist. And yes, there's rock. And yes, there's someone from talent shows. So they seem to check all the boxes that seem to be this year's trend in national finals. The Eurovision veteran is Isaiah Firebrace from 2017. Jaguar Jonze is the returnee from 2020. Voyager brings in the rock. And Sheldon Riley made himself known in America's Got Talent. Just to name some. The Australia decides final will be on February 26, 2022. Oh the twist? There's a competition on Tiktok to get a wildcard to the line up......
