HUNGARY: A DAL 2017 FINAL TONIGHT

Hungary's A Dal 2017 comes to an end tonight and we will know who will travel to Kyiv and try to bring the trophy to Budapest for the first time. First the juror will rank the songs and send four to the next round, where televoters will have the final say. The field is very much open here. My guilty pleasure is Joci and I wouldn't mind if Kállay Saunders wins again. I can't not think about ByeAlex when I hear Soulwave.... Let's see what the Hungarians end up with.... Watch here 19.30 CET Gigi Radics - See it through Joci Pápai - Origo  WINNER Gina Kanizsa - Fall like rain Soulwave - Kalandor Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat Begi Lotfi - Hosszú idök Leander Kills - Élet Zävodi & Olivér Berkes - #háttérzaj Kállay Saunders band - Seventeen

HUNGARY: A DAL 2017 SEMIFINAL TWO TONIGHT

Hungary will choose another four finalists tonight, three by the jury and onemore from the reaming ones by the televoters. This second one is much better than last night's first one. Or at least more interesting. My top favorite is Adam, followed closely by Kallay Saunders and Benji. I hope they qualify, propably with the fan favorite Totova aka Gabi & co.  Watch live here from 19.30 CET Ádám Szabó – Together Benji – Karcok Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat. Begi Lotfi – Hosszú idők Kállay Saunders Band – 17  (televote favoritr) Leander Kills – Élet Mrs Columbo – Frozen King Peet Project – Kill Your Monster Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház Zavodi + Olivér Berkes – #háttérzaj

HUNGARY: A DAL HEAT TWO AKA THREE TONIGHT

UPDATE: This has been postboned due the tragic bus accident of Hungarian students in Italy UPDATE2: This originally second heat will now be the third heat. And for this blogger there's one song above all the rest.... . Hungary continues it's search for the perfect Eurovision entry tonight. A strong line up again tonight, this blogger is hoping Benjámin and Joci get through. Joci is kinda hypnotic really, beats Totova's ethnic vibe easily! As usual the jury will send their top-5 to the semifinals, while televoters can save another one from the drop outs and for the rest it's game over this year. 19.30 CET here or here Benjámin Pál – Father’s Eyes  (37) Enikő Muri – Jericho  (36) Gigi Radics – See It Through  (43) Joci Pápai – Origo  (41) Kyra Fedor – Got To Be A Day  (34) Orsi Sapszon – Hunyd le szemed  (37) Soulwave – Kalandor  (34) televote winner The Couple – Vége van  (38) Totova – Hosszú idők  (41) Z...

ESC 2016 HUNGARY: THE FINAL TONIGHT

After three heats and two semifinals it's time for the A Dal final. Eight songs have made it this far thanks to jury and televoters. This time the jury picks up four songs to the superfinal, and then televoters alone pick up the winner among these. Biggest favorites seem to be Freddie, Kállay Saunders band and Petruska. If Hungarians feel ethnic vibe we have also Gergö Oláh to consider.... Either of these winning will put Hungary again in the winning battle. Below are the finalists in my order. I wil be very happy with any of the three first, fourth is fine, fifth is great on studio version but live was rather weak. The rest.... no way.  Freddie -  Pioneer Gergö Oláh -  Gyöz a jó Kalláy Saunders Band -  Who we are Petruska - Trouble in my mind Olivér Berkes & Andi Tóth -  Seven seas Mushu - Uncle Tom Parno Graszt -  Már nem szédulök André Vásáry - Why

ESC 2016 HUNGARY: A DAL SEMIFINAL TWO TONIGHT

The second and last A Dal semifinal takes place tonight. Again nine songs that qualified in the three heats, and now three will be qulifying thanks to the jury, and televoters will add the fourth one. This one includes all three songs saved by televote, semifinal one winner and semifinal two runner up. It doesn't look like a very even mix compared to semifinal one but then Freddie is in league of his own here. The only other one I really want in the final is Olivér & Andi. Passed is fine but the fourth one? Don't know really.....  André Vásáry – Why (2nd SF2) 42 ByTheWay – Free To Fly (televote SF1) 31 Egy Másik Zenekar – Kéne közös kép (3rd SF1) 33 Freddie – Pioneer (winner SF1) 47 Laci Gáspár – Love And Bass (4th SF2) 35 Mónika Veres Nika – Emlékkép (5th SF3) 39 Olivér Berkes & Andi Tóth – Seven Seas (televote SF3) 34 (televoting) Parno Graszt – Már nem szédülök (3rd SF3) 42 Passed – Driftin’ (televote SF2) 33

ESC 2016 HUNGARY: HEAT THREE TONIGHT

The third and final heat of A Dal takes place tonight. As usual five entries will be voted by the jury + App to the nest stage that is the semifinals, and one of the losers will be televoted to join them.  This is clearly the poorest heat of them all, weird stuff in here. I can't get imspired nor excited about any of them. As long as Seven seas qualifies for the final, and maybe Trouble in my mind all is fine.  B The First – You told me you loved me   36 Bálint Gájer - Speed bump   33 Ív – Love kills me   33 Júlia Horányi – Come along   31 Nika - Beautiful love   34 Olivér Berkes & Andi Tóth – Seven seas   34 (televote) Parno Graszt – Már nem szédülök   38 Petruska – Trouble in my mind   42 Szilvia Agárdi - It is love   40 Viki Singh – Katonák   34

I have tgought for years A Dal is one of the best and most interesting national finals around, but this time I am a bit disappointed. Nika - Beautiful love Anna Patai - Colors Juli Horányi - Come along Reni Tolvai - Fire Szilvia Agárdi - Is it love Viki Singh - Katonák Ív - Love kills me Fatima Mohamed - Ott leszek Benji - Kötéltánc C.E.T. - Free Freddie - Pioneer André Vásáry - Why Bálint Gájer - Speed bump Olivér Berkes & Andi Tóth - Seven seas B The First - You told me that you love me Petruska - Trouble in my mind ByTheWay - Free to fly Egy Másik Zenekar - Kéne kö...

ESC 2016 HUNGARY: GERGÖ RÁCZ AND OTHERS HAVE SUBMITTED SONGS

The submission period for one of the Europe's best national selections, Hungary's A Dal has ended. Many names have admitted or leaked information that they are running at it again or for the first time.  Among them we have Gergö Rácz who has already graced the Eurovision stage a s a member of V.I.P . in 1997 and has co-written fan favorite What about my dreams in 2011. This is his fourth year in a row in A Dal as a solo or member of Fool Moon. Last year's fan favorite Passed is back, too, and then we have names like Timi Antal, Kozmix, Laura Cserpes, Guyla Elias Jr, Gájer Bálint, Mujahid Zoltán and MDC again. This year's jury favorite and this bloggers favorite Ádám Szabó with Give me your love has now formed a boyband YesYes and has submitted a song with them.  American born Abbe Lewis, André Vásáry, Oliver Berkes & Lili Peterffy, Mrs Colombo, Izsák Palmer are among the names whose participation is known by various sources.
