Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Neea River (or Jokinen) has been singing all her life and had a dream to become an artist. And in a fairytale like way she has become one. In her early 20s she left for a holiday in Los Angeles and being active in Instagram she posted videos of her singing in various places and tagged Los Angeles, after all that was where she was. She was noted by a local producer who became her friend.  A year later she moved there, they worked together and started writing songs together, Neea made contacts, including CEO of Sony Music Finland and soon she had a contract to write songs for others. Already in LA the third song she had written ended up in a movie soundtrack of The perfect gitl in 2015. Next years she was writing songs for other before she decided to concentrate on her own career and even founded an own record label. Here it is! The incorruptible, infallible and most reliable Blogilkar's Home Jury made of people in their teens, 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's, mainly Finnish and mainly those who turn into Eurovision only on that one Saturday night, enjoy the show and that's it. Most everyone heard the songs for the first time so this was a true first impression judgement. And thus they had no idea about the fan polls, betting odds and trivial information and expectations. And boy did they turn those pools and odds around mostly, sinking some major favorites and enjoying some real underdogs. I will countdown the full ranking day by day until we have our winner out just before Liverpool is in full swing. This year I publish very few comments or opinions. Just the average score (we voted 1 to 10). In short this year is considered a bit poor by the jurors compared to for example last year and it may show in the somewhat low scores. Anyways: Enjoy! 10. Surprise! It's Blanka and her tropical pop Solo for Poland. The fandom may now have the meltdown I predicted in my previous post below. I'm feeling quite amused. Also because the jury ranked her first while what I could hear from the malfunctioning stream was that her vocals were equal to Benjamin's in UMK last night. But it's a fun addition to Liverpool line up instead of that fandom favorite - who would have stepped a bit on Käärijä's territory, too, so I have a double reason to be happy! Poland has revealed the entrants for the national final for Eurovision song contest 2023 in Liverpool. The selection titled Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję has ten entries chosen from about 300 submission (and maybe a wildcard chosen by invitation). Among the entrants yet another 2020 cancelled contest represent Alicja Szemplińska trying a comeback. Let's see if she manages in what Ulrikke (Norway) and Damir Kedžo (Croatia) failed earlier in this season. Also Kuba Szmajkowski from last year is back. Otherwise many singers come from various talent shows. Dominik is The Voice of Poland winner as is Alicja, Jan Majewski has most every talent show so far,  The winner will be chosen by 50/50 televote/jury vote in two rounds; top-3 of the first round will compete in a super final.
