Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

A month later comes Beautiful mess Hit the floor rmx with revisited video, too.  It's pretty good. 

Kristian will stand out nicely after belarusian hey! hey! fest with his calm and peaceful understated staging and performance. he has changed his white shirt into a black one and looks so much better, those white sleeves looked like he had wounded his hands really and was just out of hospital. He's very secure performer, good vocals if at times a bit forced and "lazy". Staging is mainly black and white and minimal. This one stands out but is it strong enough to contender Italy in the end? That's the question. No. I would fear more Portugal really at this point.

Is he the one to beat Gabbani? It's all super sleak and all pieces come together from his outfit to the staging in a grey box that looks like he's singing in a cement bunker with dark visuals in the backgroud. Dark and somewhat gloomy yet elegant.And it's time to notice that this year we aren't getting some extra complicated performances but most are rather simple. Is it because it's the trend or if Ukraine and EBU has put some limitations to the crazy ideas delegations might get... who knows? Anyways, Kristian does a good job as does the Bulgarian team. This is going to be a good runner up.

Pictured is the national flower of Bulgaria, rose Bulgaria returned to Eurovision last year after a break and scored their best result to date. Therefor they are using the same success recipe this year: internal selection for the artist and then finding him an international hit song. And they got the youngest artist of the year, barely 17 year old Russian Kristian of Bulgarian and Kazakh origins. Last year's succesful songwriters Borislav Milanov, Sebastian Arman, Joachim Bo Persson, Alex Omar and Alexander V. Blay have written Beautiful mess for him.  Kristian Kostov (17)  has already done The Voice Kids Russia and X Factor Bulgaria. In Kids he was mentored by Eurovision winner Dima Bilan and he reached the final. In X Factor he was the runner up. Born in Moscow he is fluent in Russian, Bulgarian and English. Here it is finally. The last entry that was missing aproper video/live performance video, Bulgaria's Beautiful mess by Kristian Kostov. It's an interesting and pretty one, matching the music nicely, or rather the atmosphere. Now we are yet to see some live performance from him. Or Belgium for that matter, another favorite. I'm starting to think Bulgaria could be this year's Australia finishing in Top-3 after some vote split....
