Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Emmelie De Forest has released a new single with a new sound, Hopscotch . This blogger is not very convinced, the song's rather irritating and annoying to say the least but it's saved by a lovely video shot in the streets of Rome around Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori, this blogger's beloved neighbourhood and the place to spot me having an aperativo when in Rome. She enjoys some Vespa rides in true Roman holiday style but not only, she also climbs to the town of Calcata, between Rome and Viterbo. Feast for eyes but as I said it's better with the sound turned down a bit..... 

Emmelie De Forest, Eurovision song contest 2013 winner with Teardrops has released another single off her worthcoming second album, Drunk tonight , that follows Rainmaker , that was a kind of theme song for the Eurovision 2014 in Denmark and that she performed in the final as well. Drunk tonight has a beautiful video and the song itself has a quiet charm that may take some listenings to open fully. At the same time it brings nothing new to her repertoir but follows the musical path she has taken, that includes also Hunter and prey . Time will tell how far she will get on this path.....

I must admit I never really cared so much of Freaky Fortune and their RiskyKidd. But this fantastic Eurovision medley changed it all. After hearing this, seeing them perform it I want to like them! Can I say their likability did #RiseUp like 200%? Enjoy this dose of fabulousness here . Running scared never sounded this good.....

It is finally here. Just like last year Loreen took her time to release the official video for her winning entry, so did Emmelie De Forest for her Only teardrops . And not only time issue is similar to last year's, it seems... Now we only miss Lithuania, Serbia, Bulgaria and Sweden, I think..... Meanwhile she is already promoting Hunter and prey from her debut album as well. 

Emmelie de Forest's Only teardrops enters the official Finnish singles Top-20 charts at #17. This is the real charts, not iTunes or similar download only. On the official album Top-50 chart the Eurovision 2013 compilation jumps from #25 to #9, while Krista Siegfrids debut album Ding Dong climbs from #24 to #19. Agnetha Fältskog 's A debuted at #15 last week and is already dropping to #22. Patricia Kaas debuted at #17 thee weeks ago with Chante Piaf but is moving out of the chart at # 46. Her high debut was helped by her tour that brought her to Turku, Tampere and Helsinki giving four concerts to her Finnish fans earlier this month.
