EUROVISION 2019: SANDSTORM HITS TOWN AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA STORIES

Love Tel Aviv is forever. This time the Danish made it to the sign. Sandstorm Armenian style? Sandstorm Azeri style? Carousel has arrived to Jerusalem. Jurij feeling hot and pale at Tel Aviv beach. Verka & mama causing commotion. Chingiz strikes again. Awful lot of Eurovision royalty!

EUROVISION 2019: CASUAL MEETINGS BETWEEN STARS IN WELCOME PARTY

Boys will be boys.  Pretty together.  Match made in heaven?  Ladies in white.  Beauty and the beast.  Spot the difference. Match made in heaven.  Getting cozy.  Serious business (come Saturday)  Blondes have more fun.  Balcan girls.  Ding dong!  All out of luck. Awww... someone's in love.

EUROVISION 2019: SECOND REHEARSAL FOR GREECE, SAN MARINO AND ARMENIA

Greece - Katerine Duska - Better love **** Now this is classic Eurovision, in a good way: the prop, the look, the dancers. But it's all done with an excellent taste not even bordering kitch. It's beautiful to see and everything works nicely. The song itself then isn't typical Eurovision, at least not for Greece, but it fits in. I don't see why the jurors and the televoters both wouldn't vote this a lot. A qualifier and maybe reaching top-10 or who knows even higher in lack of strong female songs this year.   San Marino - Serhat - Say na na na *** Oh well, what to say? I like the song and the staging in all its colorfulness and catchy kitchiness and the overal package is good. Yet I can't ignore the vocals, even if I'd like to. Hopefully Serhat will sound better come live broadcast and proper audio but now he's the weakest thing going on. With the little amateurish choreography I must add. But this is San Marino! Say na na na and love it!...

EUROVISION 2019: DAY 3 REHEARSALS IN PHOTOS

Hey, how've you been? Is it too late to use old tricks? Is it? We've got kinky boots, sand animators, diva walking and...  well, nothing really new and innotative this time around.   Walking out on my knees.  Don't cry for me.... Ireland.  So 2011.  Walk like Eleni.  About that night....  Bondage outfits, vol 743  Chair is forever.  The Mamas. Kimits.

EUROVISION 2019 DARE TO REVIEW 5: ICELAND, FRANCE, ALBANIA, ARMENIA

Middle table continues with songs I kinda like but don't know how to place them really.... Iceland - Hatari - Hatrið mun sigra *** Hatrið mun sigra  Evrópa hrynja Hate will prevail And Europe’s heart impale The most talked about, award-winning, anti-capitalist, BDSM, techno-dystopian, performance art collective, a political, multimedia project Hatari is maybe what PKN was for Finland (rather than Lordi). Kind of a protest by the voting population against bad success in the contest. And this could as well end up the same way. We will see. They are Klemens Hannigan and Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson with masked drummer Einar Hrafn Stefánsson and they have been around since 2015 causing commotion. Graphic designer Ingi Kristján Sigurmarsson, video artist Baldvin Vernharðsson and costume designer duo Karen Briem and Andri Hrafn Unnarsson are also part of the team. I must add I hated this at first but now kinda like it somehow, even if this is a bit Ram...

ARMENIA: SRBUK IS WALKING OUT FROM EUROVISION 2019

Armenia was the first to announce their internally chosen artist already in November 2018, but we had to wait until tonight to hear the chosen song by Srbuk. Walking out  almost became the last song to be heard but officially that goes to Israel's home entry even if it's already leaked to the www..... Walking out  is a decent song and well performed by Srbuk but not something this blogger will have high on my scoreboard propably judging first impression. However this is the third song this season mentioning the crown....

ARMENIA: IT'S SRBUK (Սրբուկ) FOR EUROVISION 2019

It's been a long autumn but finally we have the first artist for the Eurovision song contest 2019. Armenia revealed today their internal choice and it is 24-year-old Srbuhi Sargsyan aka Srbuk (apparently pronounced Serbuka, phew).   She has already done X Factor Armenia 2012 and The Voice of Ukraine 2017 and finished in top-4 in both. Two singles to her credit so far - Yete karogh es and Half a goddess - Armenian tv has now launched a song search for her that runs until January 10, 2019. W will hear the chosen one propably only in March....
