MIRO'S SENSATION OF LOVE IN ROME

Miro + Emporio Armani + Rome + nice retro pop song... there are already four things this blogger likes and indeed, Bulgarian Miro seems to have made a sponsor deal with Emporio Armani, a label I used to wear a lot when living in Italy, and he has gone all the way to Rome where I used to live to shoot his latest music video for Sensation of love , that showcases the usual sights but in a very nice, not so obvious way. On top of it it's very beautifully shot. And the song itself has a nice retro feeling to it, very 80's a la Gazebo, me thinks. There's even a nice use of the Roman church bells in the intro. Great stuff!  (How many sights and EA logos can you spot?)

WklVids: Eli Lieb, Miro, Tommy Fredvang, Michael Bublé

Eli Lieb is another new young singer to make himself known like Steve Grand last week. His Young love was just released featuring a very cute video. The song itself is great and this blogger loves his voice and way of singing! Bulgarian Miro is back with a song and video called Suvenir ( Сувенир) . Nice artistic video and again a very nice song from him. Norwegian Tommy Fredvang didn't make it to Eurovision but he has changed the language from English in Vampyrane featuring also a sweet & sexy video. Michael Bublé has released a new song, Close your eyes , that features a lot of people, including Matt Zarley .

Desislava to spice up the Bulgarian selection?

The early rumours from Bulgaria suggest foxy ladies Desislava and Alisia are interested in represanting their country in Baku 2012 and have sent in their efforts for the national final. Third name is The Voice of Bulgaria finalist and Mirò mentored Todor Gadjalov bringing a touch of innocence to the final.... if selected.

Tonight: Final in Bulgaria - UPDATE

Bulgaria will choose its entrant tonight with 50-50 televote-jury. Some familiar names amongst the participants like Poli and Lazar. There's a little bit of everything from sumowrestlers to playmates, from teenage angst to ethno-granny and angry male rock. My favourite is Lazar but he would propably have the faith of Mirò anyways but then, there isn't anything that good either! Poli Genova and Emilka Valente are quite nice and then worth listening are Plamena, Vlad and Jakob as well as 032 and 5-te Sezona - if they only learn English first. You can watch snippets of all entries here . Four songs have withdrawn or disqualified from the original line up. Marked in red. The fun starts 19.30 CET at eurovision.tv  UPDATE: I'm watching the show and there isn't much to tell home about except they have a lovely pre-recorded applause going on all the time! :-) Lazar did a great job and what I have seen so far in blogs and chats I'm not alone liking him. Poli Genova got a ...

Bulgaria gets complicated

No internal selection after all in Bulgaria. Several names (and songs) have been rumoured to be the one to follow Miro´s footsteps to Eurovision but now BNT has announced a national final will take place on February 23 after a rather complicated selection process. Some sort of Academy will propose singers, vote and select ten of them. Then these lucky ones can submit up to three songs each and the academy will choose again.... or something (do I think it will end up the usual way and the one they wanted from the beginning will win after all?). Anyways, in the end it's 50-50 televote-Academy vote that will send one to Germany hoping for the best... Bulgaria hasn't exactly been a success story in Eurovision so far with the exception of Helsinki 2007 edition when Elitsa and Stoyan drummed to the 5th place with excellent Water . Did you read about Miro going around TV-shows in Bulgaria telling the winner was decided beforehand and as he didn't pay he didn't even get to the...

Miro's back with Power

Miro who has done a triple in all Eurovision related contests this year; Eurovision with Angel si ti , OGAE Song contest with Ubiva me s ljubov and Second chance contest with Twist and tango   has a new single out, Power .

Bulgaria wins Facebook voting in Finland

YLE's Eurovision Facebook group got 8/10 right in the first semifinal ( here) , how will it be for the second one? In the second one the winner Slovakia and no 4 Latvia didn't make the final. Will Bulgaria have a similar fate? 1. Bulgaria (8,64) 2. Armenia (8,57) 3. Croatia (8,3) 4. Ireland (8,21) 5. Denmark (8,17) 6. Turkey (8,0) 7. Azerbaijan (7,9) 8. Romania (7,6) 9. Israel (7,5) 10. Switzerland (7,4) 11. Sweden (7,1) 12. Cyprus (7,0) 13. The Netherlands (6,58) 14. Georgia (6,56) 15. Lithuania (6,1) 16. Ukraine (5,1) 17.  Slovenia (4,7)

Oslo 2010: Day 8 - Bulgaria

Nothing really to add here. The group is wearing their final dresses this time, or not wearing as the guys are bare chested. It all looks polished and well practised, Miro sings well. You don't really notice him changing into English unless you really listen to thim. I like the song, I like the staging, but... there's just something that's not convincing me totally to say this will qualify. On the other hand Miro is one of those that comes across the TV screen well so maybe then Thursday night he will make an impression? And why are those two guys adoring his legs so much in the beginning? It looks a bit funny...  Video .

Miro & Feminnem together in studio

In 2008 Aremnian Sirusho, Israeli Boaz and Serbian Jelena got togerher after Eurovision and recorded Time to pray . This time Bulgarian Miro and Croatin Feminnem made a duet before Eurovision, Mil amantes . They will be both in the second semifinal on May 27 almost back to back. I personally hope they both will qualify, let's see.

Bulgaria: Miro joins the #1 club

Miro joins Sieneke, Lena Meyer-Landrut, Anna Bergendahl, Tom Dice and Kristina as his Angel si ti tops the charts in his native Bulgaria. He has also hired Venol King for the choreograhy in Oslo 2010. King has been working with likes of Tina Turner, Robbie Williams and Michael Jackson and his icing on the cake is "making Kylie Minogue the number one sex synbol. When I started with her she had two left legs!" His aim is to make the dancers look like they are angels, that everything looks angelic easy but very sexy at the same time. Miro hasn't been considered a top favourite in fan polls but I personally love it, and hope that he will reach the final angelic easy and fly to the top!

Tonight: Final in Ukraine

Vasyl Lazarovich will perform all songs tonight and the winner will be chosen 50-50 televote-jury. When? 18.00 CET. Where? Here . Adrenalin I know Shine of your star Don't wanna loose you I love you... Ok, after hearing the songs I think I love you will win. Or maybe Don't wanna loose you . However I love you was the one he seemed most comfortable performing. Beautiful ballad that where he was able to use his beautiful voice to the fullest. I also liked the mix of English and Ukrainian in it. Or the jazzy I know ? It sure it is classy. But Adrenalin maybe has the best staging... Good staging overal for all entries. And I'm so pleased we will have something anti-Lobodaish from Ukraine for a change! On this night of play-back while waiting for the results after a string of random Ukrainian artists here are the Oslo 2010 goers Eva Rivas, Miro, Sopho and Safura. Safura performed Drip drop which isn't yet announced as the chosen song but I think it is now chose...

Angel si ti for Bulgaria

As expected Miro's self penned Angel si ti (You're an angel) won the national final in Bulgaria scoring over 48% of the votes. Twist & tango was second with 27% followed by Eagle, Ostani and Moyat pogled v teb .

Tonight: Bulgaria decides

Or should I say Miro decides as the reports from Bulgaria suggest he has been heavily promoting his own song Angel si ti. But hey, I don't care as it is the best one by far! Miro will sing five songs, Deep Zone is the guest and you can follow it online. When? 19.30 CET. Where? Here . 1. Eagle 2. Moyat pogled v teb 3. Twist & tango 4. Ostani 5. Angel si ti

Bulgaria: Miro presents his songs

Miro alias Miroslav Konstantinov who will sing for Bulgaria in Oslo has presented his five entries in Bulgarian TV tonight. The final will be on Fenruary 28 as planned but the songs will hit the radio stations and TV already now. Not quite what I expected until the last song that is clearly my favourite. Moyat pgled v teb and Ostani are ok, too. 1. Eagle 2. Moyat pogled v teb/My eyes on you 3. Twist & tango 4. Ostani/Stay 5. Angel si ti/You're an angel

Bulgaria: Miro's latest hit

Miro, who has been chosen to represant Bulgaria in Oslo 2010 has meanwhile presented his latest single and video Ubivame s lybov , that is already a hit over there. I wonder if he will go to Eurovision with a ballad like that or a dance track like this , or this .

Show stealing MIRO FOR BULGARIA 2010!

Miro will be singing for Bulgaria in 2010. I wrote about him last year like this . Here is his Lose control . Miroslav Kostadinov started in very popular Karizma duo that has taken part in the national finals previously. And so we have the very first confirmed artist for Oslo 2010! And I call this a very promising and good start for the Eurovision 2010 news. More of him here , here and here .And more here and here .

Miro (Миро) totally stole the show

Miro was performing in the Bulgarian heat 4 as a guest but totally stole the show. I have no idea who he is but apparently big in Bulgaria. I didn't understand one word they were talking but he came across with one with balls, determination and ego big enough to win Eurovision. Why isn't he participating? (Update. Well, he has tried with KariZma....) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ykw7DxHvjU&feature=related Миро - Някога преди http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lp1srTeweE Miro - Call me
