Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

The reigning Eurovision nation and this year's host Sweden will have its final tonight. The most overrated and most fan wanked event on planet. This blogger has been thinking already for years it's just getting worse year by year - gret show but songs that I don't care to hear ever again once this holabaloo is over - and this year is no exception. The semis were filled with songs that only made you think why?! but then it's only one song that you need. Sweden may not have the winner in this lot this year, no matter how much Christer Björkman wants to equal the Irish wins but there are a few that even this blogger would be glad to have in Globen come May.... Oscar, Frans and Robin that is.  As always there are stagings that leave you mouth open and you don't even notice how medicore the song is (Ace this year, Måns last year) and word gimmicks (Youniverse) and wardrobe gimmicks (Wiktoria) Molly Sanden was the biggest pre-contest favorite but the song is so dul...

Sweden's Melodifestivalen has reached the last semifinal before Second chance round and the final. Two big fan favorites here; Molly and Linda, one Eurovision veteran Martin and a couple of Melodifestivalen veterans: Dolly Style and Panetoz. After the leak fiasco with Molly's song all the others were published too for 24 hrs or something similarly stupid. Watching the rehearsal snippets it looks like Panetoz and Linda have just recycled their previous stagings if not the song, too, and Martin makes me only sing along to Whiter shade of pale.... I don't care who qualifies as I will hardly ever listen to any of these again but it would be kinda amusing if Martin and Frans would qualify. Or Eclipse just for the fun of it. As we all remember Eric Saade and Molly Sandén were the lovebirds and the Swedish sweethearts for like an eternity before things turned sour. Now it has been revealed Danny Saucedo (who came second in Melodifestivalen behind Eric Saade in 2011) is Molly's new boyfriend. Apparently Danny has been pretending to be Eric's friend but seducing his girlfriend behind his back, at least if you believe Eric. Next Eric is calling "mediawhores" the ones in question in Twitter and saying things like "Yeye Stop talk about that now. He's the regular number 2! As usual" And yet later he wrote an open letter on Facebook explaining he ment the media is the whores and Molly is an important part of his life and if she's happy, he's happy. They both have moved on... And then he wrote that his sick and tired of it all and leaves the country this Thursday....And what day is next Thursday? February 14th , hmmm..... The drama continues.....
