Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Ok, the slogan is still United by Music but the Swiss like also the Unity shapes love one as they reveal the visual identity, stage and more on December 16, 2024 for the Eurovision song contest 2025 in Basel.  Truth me said there's nothing to get exited for as it seems rather seen and unoriginal to say the least, continuing where Liverpool and Malmö left just tuning down the colors a bit. Despite the cute back story of Swiss way of listening _ ears that become heart that becomes unity or something. And yes, once again it's back to kinda dark and gloomy... The stage looks rather familiar. too, and no wonder as it is once again by Florian Wieder. At least it has the Alps in it. This is his eight, or ninth if count the recycling 2020 to 2021,  Eurovision stage since 2011. At first glance United by music might be the most unoriginal and banal slogan ever but think about it: It may just be the most genial ever! After all, it's all what this Eurovision is all about: united by music. Hundreds of millions Europeans and beyond united infront of the tv screen watching a live show. More united than that there's nothing! Of course there's then the offical back story about Ukraine, United Kingdom and Liverpool uniting by music and all that.  The ECG or electrocardiogram of a pusling heart recalls the Euroviison heart symbol, and the colors are of course those of Ukraine with some UK thrown in. Very simple and colorful and after initial Meh that lasted about 7 seconds I absolutely like it now! Well done!

RTP and EBU have reveaaled the slogan and variations of the logo and this blogger is liking it! In recent years the logos have been rather dark and gloomy, and this is the first time since Helsinki 2007 there are bright colors and something fresh and new. The sea aspect was expected and fits Portugal and Lisbon so well. All aboard, let's sail away! And yes, 42 it is. The curse of 43 strikes again , Macedonia stays home.... :-(

The slogan and the logo are out: Celebrate diversity! It has been quite awhile now that the host city insignia exchange and the allocation draw, or rather the draw in which semifinal each country will perform in, will happen in Stockholm on January 25, 2016. That's next Monday, folks! Now it's also clear SVT will also reveal the slogan and the logo for the contest at the same occasion. The logo is made by INGO Stockholm .
